House, 4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 5-6)

Only an hour and a half from NYC. The house is located in Shawnee Valley and is only a one minute drive to the ski slopes of Shawnee. If you love kayaking, or fishing, you are only fifteen minutes from Smithfield Beach where you can access the beautiful Delaware river at the national recreation area. Love to hike, two minutes from Mt. Nebo regional park, or fifteen minutes to hiking trails at the Delaware National Recreational area. Guests can use the Sun Mountain Recreation area which has an outdoor pool in the summer and the indoor pool at the Shawnee Inn all year round. Guests are elegible for discounts for Golf at the Shawnnee Inn. The house is situated on a 2/3 acre lot on Mt. Nebo and has great winter views of the Shawnee Ski Slopes during the winter and beautiful Forest views in the summer. The house is approximately 2,500 sf, four bedrooms and two and a half baths. The master bedroom has a large bath with whirlpool Jacuzzi. The living room has gas fireplace. Great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Why The Owner chose Shawnee

I grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona and always missed the beautiful green of the northeast. I was transferred to New York City and had the great fortune to buy a house in the Poconos. I love finishing and the outdoors. The proximity to NYC made this location a great place to live and to get away from the stress of city life.

MLK weekend getaway

My friends and I stayed in this great house over MLK weekend! The owner greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the house. The overall property exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and well kept. It looked better in real life then in the photos. Very close to outdoor winter activities (Shawnee mountain). Would def stay here again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
