Our light and sunny non-smoker-apartment is in the baroque city Weilburg an der Lahn. Enjoy the lovely view. The apartment is peaceful, and conveniently situated. From the apartment it is only 1500 m to the Lahn-valley bike road, 2500 m to the new Weil-valley bike and hike road with bus shuttle for bikers/hikers, 1500 m to the rail station and only 2000 m to the castle, several museums and city-centre. It is only 60 m to the city-bus stop. To the next supermarket you can go comfortably (400 m). If you wish, you can relax in our beautiful garden with its old trees. It’s very nice to watch several birds or the dragonfly upon our pond. Free of charge you can get 2 bikes. Here in Weilburg you can find a great cultural and sportive offer.

Weilburg is situated at the river Lahn between the low-mountain region Taunus and Westerwald. Enjoy the castle and the baroque castle park. You can go back on a time-journey to the middle ages. Go through the medieval old town, the market place with Neptune fountain and the baroque castle church. Music fans must visit our classic castle concerts during the summer with international soloists. There are also several lovely markets.

Sights near Weilburg: There are a lot of sights in the neighbourhood of Weilburg. For example: 1. Braunfels (10 km) is a little town with a fairy-tale castle and a very beautiful market place. Moreover, Braunfels has a golf course and a glider airport. 2. Wetzlar (20 km) has a beautiful old town and dome. There is the 'Lottehaus', where Goethe paid some visits. Even the furniture museum is very interesting. 3. Runkel (10 km) is a little village at the river Lahn with a fortress. 4. Limburg (20 km) is a wonderful town. The picturesque old town has very beautiful half-timbered houses. Here is one of the oldest half-timbered houses of Germany. Also the dome is very interesting. 5. Solms-Oberbiel (15 km) here is the deepest mining museum in Europe. Near the mining museum you can visit a very nice convent.

Die Wohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir haben uns für kurze Zeit wie Zuhause gefühlt. Viel Komfort, alle Utensilien greifsbereit. Und eine herrliche Aussicht zu allen Seiten. Es fehlte uns wirklich an nichts.
Und Gastfreundlichtkeit und Hilfsbereitheit mit Tips waren sehr gut.
Weilburg als Startpunkt für Tagesreisen entlang der Lahn war ideal; mit Auto und Zug waren die Verbindungen ausgezeignet.
Und noch ein Tip für Niederländer: Kanotochten over de Lahn leveren in de zomertijd prachtige landschappen op. Frankfurt is voor liefhebbers van kunst en de grote stad een aanrader. En voor de Oranjefans is Dillenburg, Oraniënstein, Nassau, Dietz en enkele andere plaatsen een 'must'.

Wir konnten nur ein paar Tage Fahrradurlaub machen. Schade, denn hier wären wir gerne länger geblieben.Die Wohnung neu, hell und sehr ruhig gelegen (mit Garten und kleinem Biotop), in gepflegter Wohngegend, ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Die Gastgeber hilfsbereit und freundlich. Bäcker, Supermarkt alles sehr nahe. Sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Touren, die Gegend hat viel zu bieten. sehr empfehlenswert

Haben die Wohnung als DZ mit Frst während der Weilburger Schloßkonzerte genutzt. Sehr angenehme, nette zuvorkommende Vermieter, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Gute Ausstattung, sauber, top gepflegt; etwas kleine Dusche. Auf persönlichen Wunsch zusammengestelltes Frühstück (mit hauseigenen frischen Früchten).
Idealer Standort für Touren um Weilburg/Limburg/Braunfels pp. Kommen gerne wieder.
