House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 5-8)

Tyro Take-Off is the perfect ski destination. This home away from home was recently purchased and newly renovated with new kitchen accessories, granite countertops, tile flooring, new paint and carpet. There is plenty of room for everyone as there are three floors that sleep eight comfortably. Relax downstairs in the master bedroom complete with a king size bed or step out the back sliding glass door to your private hot tub. Hang out on the second floor while kicking back on the sofa in front of the wood fireplace watching your favorite TV on our 50' screen placed above the fireplace. There is an additional bedroom on this floor with a queen size bed. Send the kids upstairs to the third bedroom where they can hang out and play X Box, Game Cube, watch movies or listen to their iPods on the iPod station. The room is furnished with two twin beds and a double bed.

Our favorite thing about this house is stepping out the back door and heading directly onto the Tyro ski slope which is an intermediate slope. This makes it the perfect location for the skiers and snowboarders in your life. Family and friends can look off the back deck or sit in the hot tub and wave as you ski by.

You are walking distance to the Blackrock Market, Mountain Inn and 5 minutes driving distance to the Wintergreen Spa and Resort. There are plenty of things to do and you are perfectly located to do it all!

A perfect slope-side hideaway for two families!!

Tyro Take-Off is the perfect ski rental for two families with kids who are looking for a stress-free time & quick access to the slopes. The home is well maintained, very well equipped, and clean--we were very comfortable here. The Tyro location is ideal--very convenient to to the main ski center to get tickets & ski rentals in advance the night before, yet peaceful and quiet away from the main traffic flow. If you've never had the opportunity to ski hard all morning, stop mid-way down a slope & kick off the gear for a leisurely lunch with peace & quiet at your own place, then hit the slopes again---you need to book Tyro Take-Off!!

Excellent! Everything was great...the place, the location, the snow, the skiing, family fun and the grandkids first taste of fun in the snow. Property owners were great. I had a question about the hot tub and the owner answer within a couple of minutes of my call. I will definitely look at going back!

We are back home from our annual family Wintergreen ski trip and our stay in your lovely mountain home. The temps dropped in our favor and they were able to make snow the entire time we were there and skiing was great (on the slopes that were actually open). We had a great time and we loved your little piece of heaven. My mom (NANA) loved the conveniences in your beautiful kitchen while preparing our meals while we were on the slopes. The hot tub was an added bonus. Everyone had a great time and agreed that your home is our new Wintergreen annual ski vacation spot. Thank you for sharing it with us.

We stayed in this lovely home for a girls weekend in late November, and it was perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we were very pleased with the layout of the house. There was plenty of room, but it was perfectly cozy for group discussions. Thanks so much for sharing your home!

Wonderful Time

My wife and I booked Tyro Take Off for an early January ski trip. We had a wonderful time at T Take Off. The updates made the house quite cozy and personalized. It is a three level so there was a lot of chasing the littles ones up and down the stairs. Hence, we had to get creative in blocking off the stairs. The master suite was very plush and comfortable. The bathrooms are small but serve their purpose well for a short vacation and getaway. The owners left plenty of seasoned wood and we had a fire burning the entire time we were there which added to the wintry feel of the place. The view is of the woods and slope which is quite pristine but it would have been nice to be a bit higher up to catch the full majesty of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It was nicely located to the lift and only a short ski down the hill. With a little creativity it did fit the bill truly as a ski-in.
Overall, we had a wonderful time at Tyro Take Off. The owners were extremely helpful and approachable. We are already plannig a spring trip back for a winery tour.
