We decided to open our lovely home to others to be able to experience and share in the 'local flavor' of Louisville's most independent, locally owned business and restaurant corridors in the state of Kentucky. We are conveniently located 3 miles from downtown Louisville and the world's most famous horse racing track Churchill Downs. We are also centrally located to the University of Louisville and medical facilities downtown.
We stayed here for Derby 2015 and it was perfect! There was plenty of parking and we had no trouble unloading our car!
The oak floors were a really nice touch. Although we did not use the kitchen (except for the fridge) it was in great condition and extremely clean! The space was a terrific size. We had plenty of room for a blow up mattress along with the bed that was there!
After the races each day, we would return home and walk up to the bars. It was nice to not have to worry about cab fare or spending extra money on that! We were so close to everything! There is an incredible pizza place right up the street and a Buffalo Wild Wings in walking distance! These are great selling points for us Chicago's!
Sarah was Amazing. She was so helpful with all of our questions and she even let us rent the Mayweather fight on 5/2!! (we paid her for it of course!)

Excellent location for all of our needs. Several eateries and shops with in walking distance, and not to far of a drive to down town or shopping. The apartment was very clean and perfect for my husband and I. I definitely recommend staying here
We were in town for the PGA Championship, and this apartment was perfect for our needs at a price that could not be beat. The studio space was perfect for two. We cooked breakfast in the apartment one morning, and we walked to nearby restaurants or ate at the golf course otherwise. (We highly recommend Holy Grale for excellent beer and food!) The bed was comfy, the linens were clean, and the neighborhood was safe and well situated. The owner was also very accommodating. If we ever need to stay in Louisville again, we'll definitely be back. The only reason I don't give it a five star rating is because the accommodations aren't luxurious. If you're looking for comfortable, clean, and a great location though, this is your place.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Highlands property. Was a bit skeptical at first but the owner was very accommodating and the photos were exactly as the property is. Nice to have, on a smaller scale, the amenities of home. Bed linen was clean and bed comfortable (no bed bugs, which is extremely important). Sofa was very comfortable and clean. Walking accessibility to the Highlands could not be better. Truly felt safe walking the neighborhoods and enjoying all the neighborhood had to offer. We will recommend the property to anyone wishing to enjoy a few days away from home! We will also return in the future! Thank you.
Excellent location for the derby - could have used a few more linens but besides that a great place. Would def stay again. Owner was very accomodating.

But here's a tip: Don't spend too much time enjoying your rental when you're so close to some great spots just a five-minute walk away. Grab a sandwich and salad at Joe Davola's for lunch, then hit Jack Fry's for dinner, or do a little late-night carousing at one of the Irish-themed bars. There's something for everyone close by.
