Farmhouse, 2 Bedrooms + Sunroom, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 5-6)

an old farmhouse restored keeping all old stone walls and brick arches , using terra cotta tiles for ceilings in the tradition of the area. an ideal summer place that is oriented towards the garden and patios , one on every side of the house to move with the sun or against it. pool with negative reveal overlooking the Tiber river valley . privacy all around yet close to the village. a 3 minutes walk to take your cornetto and cappuccino on the piazza in the morning .

1 large master bedroom with fireplace and en suite large bathroom

1 guest bedroom with two single antique beds , mattresses are not antique.

1 guest bathroom

downstairs the 2 former stables converted to

a large living room and fully equipped kitchen both leading to flower overgrown patio with Tiber river valley views

1 large sunroom

1 Hammam/ turkish bath

About The Owner

Dutch interior designer living in Paris found this property after a long hunt this was THE place that he had been looking for all along. terrific views that change every 10 minutes when the morning sun burns off the haze , secluded and yet within walking distance of a scenic village. where only Italians live.

The Owner purchased this farmhouse in 1989

i wanted typical Italian country side rural yet not in the middle of nowhere with Rome 30 miles down the road : I found the ideal location/combination

the contrast of seeing traditional Italian village life every day with its quaint weekly market and then having the hustle and bustle of ROME nearby whenever I want a taste of this incredible city.

We stayed in the house for one week from Saturday 8/11/12 thru Saturday 8/18/12. My wife, my daughter (age 20) and friend (age 22) and my son (age 17). This farmhouse is very unique and truly a special place. The pool side setting is one of the most beautiful places to spend a week anywhere. With all to see within an hour (Rome, Siena, etc) we spent to days simply by the pool taking in the marvelous panoramic view. Even my 17yr old son was captivated by the vistas. The Sabine hills offer very comparable beauty to that of Tuscany. Rosanna the houses local host is the warm, friendly and welcoming face you want to be greeted by when you travel abroad. She is there for you if you need anything! Unless you are looking for a city or suburban setting for your stay (the house is on a very peaceful and private location and the town is small but interesting) we would highly recommend staying here.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

Beauty and relaxation all in one place!

Such a relaxing and beautiful location! The landscaping is magnificent and the pool was so enjoyable as a respite from the heat in the afternoon and for relaxation in the evening after a day of sightseeing. And my husband has never slept so well as he did here!

Very!! easy access to Rome via the train and the all day ticket that included the subway in Rome. The towns and villages in the area are also interesting and very diverse.

We are looking forward to when we can return!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

TRULY A BELLA VISTA

My husband and I spent a wonderful vacation at the Casa Bella Vista in Stimigliano . How beatiful it was !!!! The house is set on a hill with a great panoramic view of the rolling hills & Tiber river . It's totally private and absolutely charming , comfortable & inviting . The house is surrounded by a magnificent garden ; the infinty pool overlooks the valley .... you feel like you could swim all the way to Rome. We loved our stay there and plan to go back soon.
