'Villa Generosa' is an about 320 years old country-house, a so called 'Rustico' which was carefully restored in the past few years. The house, as a part of the historical village 'Valleggia', is situated in a breathtaking beautiful mountain landscape in the very near of 'Monte Rosa', you have a direct view on a peak called 'Pizzo del Ton' (2675m) from inside and outside the house. Valleggia, at an altitude of 900 meters, is surrounded by beech-, lime- and chestnut trees. A short picturesque way of 200 steps through the village lead you to the Villa. The front of the house with its 5 balconies and 2 terraces points to the south, big windows give a lot of light. All rooms are linked by stairs of an interesting run. 3 woodstoves and 2 electric heaters preserve comfortable warmth. Directly from the door you can start your trekking excursions through a wild romantic nature and through archaic, almost abandoned villages.

There is a beautiful road along the 'Valle Ossola' to the Lago Maggiore with its Mediterranean flair or to the Orta Lake, not less beautiful! Milano, Torino which is home of the XXth Winter Olympics invite you for day visits. Get in touch with the Piemont wine regions, the finest of Italy. If you prefer short ways you will find your luck at Lago Mergozzo or Lago di Antrona (at 1200 m altitude) and their very different surroundings. There is a big quantity of supermarkets down in the valley.
