Fun Stay but with problems

Arrived late at night and after climbing up 50 some steps with luggage discovered the place was not clean. Towels and sheets were clean, but kitchen had food down in silverware drawer,dirty silverware, refrigerate need cleaning and bath needed cleaning(toothpaste on door handle and sinks and tub need attention). Spent an hour cleaning on arrival. Had problems with hot water heater, but when reported maintenance did respond. The place was large for our 5, don't know how 12 people would be comfortable with only two baths(the hot tub is in second bath next to toilet). Hot Tub was clean.
It sounds like we didn't have a great vacation, but we did. It just got off to such a rocky start. Enjoyed skiing, Heavenly was great, sledding not worth the money, horseback riding in Carson City was really fun. R and D Ranch by Wrangler Rich. Great riding instruction. It's worth it.
Loved Tahoe and will probably go to Tahoe again but mostly likely not at this property.

Owner's Response: Our condo is located high in the Sierra Mountains and like most ski condos in the mountains it has 36 interior stairs, not over 50 as suggested. The refrigerator is new and is emptied after our guests leave. We realized after speaking to this guest that he was not happy and we offered him a full refund if he wanted to vacate the premises; however, he declined. It would leave a reasonable person to believe that it was not as bad as he suggests.
We take great pride in presenting a high value condo for our guests. We have received numerous letters of appreciation for the value, location and condition of the condo.
It is unfortunate that we could not please this guest; however, we will take this criticism with an open mind and strive to address each and every complaint so that our future guests will enjoy their condo experience to it's fullest.
