Review title is funny but true. Our vacations recently have been to the Caribbean and Italy. We usually stay at 4 star resorts and hotels. After years of raising our son, who recently moved out, we decided a vacation and a different one at that was needed. Through weeks of Internet research my wife finally decided on Catfish Cove cabin in Blue Ridge. Let me start by saying the photos on the website were exactly accurate. We have found past experience, this isn't always true. The cabin was very clean, well decorated, and had everything you need from kitchen equipment on down. We spent the majority of our time relaxing in the screened in porch on the rocking chairs. The beds were comfortable, as well as the sitting areas. The town of Blue Ridge was quaint and shopping and dining was fun. We hiked the nearby falls, went horseback riding, and went to Lake Blue Ridge. All were a quick 15 to 20 minute drive. The only thing we did not do, but recommend is tubing or kayaking. We have done both before in our younger days, but just relaxing at OUR cabin was what the doctor ordered. I say OUR cabin because my wife and I spent a lot of time plotting in the early mornings how we would love to buy this cabin. Our favorite vacation in a very, very long time. We fell in love with the mountains, the people of BlueRidge, the wildlife, and Catfish Cove Cabin. Thank you Barbara, and if ever you get bored with the cabin, we doubt it, email us and we will be more than happy to truly call this "OUR home".
P.S. First day in BlueRidge a black bear ran in front of our car, being chased by the police. Now where else do you get that on day one of your vacation!
