Secluded, Charming home on Hurricane Mt in Keene, minutes from Lake Placid

A "home" away home. This house is exactly that, in true sense. The moment I entered the house, roam around each corners, rooms, kitchen; I felt like I'm visiting some

of my close friend's or reltive's house. Everything was as perfectly placed as I wished to be. I really appreciate the owner for maintainig absolute cleanliness with

such a great skill of detailing. Each and everything you can think of, was there for you. Plenty of sheets, extra towels, toilet needs, kitchen utensils.... even, more

than you require. I will give 10 out of 10 for the maintainance of the house looking after each and every needs of a guest. We enjoyed grilling, bonfire outside in the

evening. The place looks very secure too. No chance of peeping from neighbour's window at all. You can enjoy absolute privacy and freedom. For families, there is a

good collection of books, games. You can't be bore by any chance. A heaven for hikers. There are few nearby ponds.Fishing and swiming plans can be good idea.

According to conveniece it was really good. Conveniently located. We loved the neighbourhood. Such a calm, serene country-side home ! spectacular mountain view...In your stay, please do visit the Keene Village. If possible, please try to stop by for a warm breakfast @ ADK Cafe or have a look at the nearby Rustic shop, if you have passion for rustic goods. Lake Placid is just 10/15 minutes drive, same is Whiteface mountain. If there is one bad thing about this house, that is, it will make you sad when you leave finally to return back home. :)

Yes, last but not the least, the owner deals so well with us...very cooperative and helful...We told her we may reach one night before than our actual plan due to last minute change..she was even glad to hear that and wamrm and welcoming all the time...whenever we needed to communicate.

A lovely place to stay in the Lake Placid area. The house has everything you would need or want and is clean and comfortable! Such a nice, quiet place to retreat to after an active day exploring the Adirondacks. The owner was fantastic to deal with! We will definitely be returning.
