Guestbook comments from the owner
We just returned home from our vacation in Florida. Everyone is so rested and relaxed - and at peace. It is unreal how just a week can change your outlook on life. We spent a lot of time at the beach - both day time and night time. The Loggerhead and other various turtles nest in Juno Beach. We found out that they are an endangered species now and we all need to protect them. If you walk on the beach at night, and if you are very quiet, you can find these large turtles coming out of the ocean, crawling up on the beach and laying their eggs. It must be pitch dark and if they see you, they will turn around and go back into the ocean, therefore it is dark but very safe. The police patrol the beach on sand three wheel bikes - to protect the people and the turtles. It was wonderful! We went down to the beach almost every evening. We had a wonderful time! The pool was great and the house is huge. A perfect size for a large group like ours. All of the rooms were very clean and everything was well kept. We loved everything - including all the books left to read and hundreds of CD's to listen to. Our family played family games and walked almost everywhere we wanted to go. We were not interested in doing sightseeing, we came here to relax and spend special time together. We truly appreciate being able to spend this special time in such lovely surroundings. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. We hope to be back again.
It seems that I have been in Law my entire life. After graduating from Law School and practicing in the Prosecuting Attorney's office, I found that law in the North was not what I wanted. Originally, I thought that I could save the world; but found out that it was impossible. In Fl, I have been able to do more for people by working with their business's. Since I have been practicing on my own, instead of with a large firm, I am much happier. Have raised several children right here on the beach. They have loved being able to play outside all of the time, scuba dive at a young age, surf, and they have made the ocean, and the pool we built them, their second home. Taxes have increased drastically and insurance has sky rocketed through the roof therefore we are having to rent out our dream home part time, to help make the house payments. Since we purchased a home within a very short walking distance to the beach, we have been able to make it available to special vacationers certain months out of the year. People think we are choosey with who we rent to - and we are. We only want guests who will respect our home and treat it as if it is their own. We have invested a lot in this home and we expect to live here forever - unless someone offers us a price we can not walk away from. That is when we will retire! By the way, you will see our signs regarding 'Be Aware of Our Dog' - our dog is a white Great Pyrenese and a black Standard size Poodle. Our attack dogs!! All the family helps take care of the home. Our oldest son owns an air conditioning company and is emphatic as to how the air conditioners are taken care of. He gets angry when we must replace new air conditioners due to visitors leaving doors open and the air conditioners down low at the same time. Another boy takes care of the plants, making sure that the landscaper takes care of things the way they are suppose to. One daughter keeps on the Housekeepers and their work. Another daughter is a CPA & handles the books
We decided that since we spend all our money coming to Juno Beach, we should find a job here and live here full time - why wait until we retire - as we had planned. It was a great place to raise the children and since we were raising a child with cystic fibrosis, who was in the hospital all of the time - it was great for her health. In fact it was perfect then and it still is. The great thing about living in Florida is that your children never leave home; even if they move out they always stay close by. Who would ever want to leave 'Paradise'? We always wanted to be near the Ocean and were lucky enough to find this beautiful home when we moved here and we have never left. We bought this home brand new, without pool, without landscaping, without anything but a basic house; we made it into this gorgeous home. We remodeled it again 2 years ago and filled it full of unbelievable beautiful furniture and accessories. We are happy to share it all with special people who care enough to take care of this home as if it is their own. Thank you all for becoming our friends and coming back to see us every year.
Our family fell in love with this home the instant we saw it while we were out driving around the beach area. It was such a quiet, little, out of the way beach community that you had to know that it was there or accidentally come upon it driving down A1A - or Ocean Blvd, as it is called. We got out and looked in the windows since it was brand new, sitting empty, just waiting for our large family. We looked through the glass windows from the floor to the ceiling as well as the french doors leading out to the patio & pool. The arches down the hallway and the 'Huge' rooms were breathtaking. From the day we moved in until each and every time we walk through that front door, we fall in love all over again. We have worked so hard to keep it remodeled and to give it all those extra amenities only found in new homes. When you stand in the drive way and feel the soft breeze coming in from the ocean as well as the smell of the fresh, salt air - it can be exhilarating. Steps away is the ocean, the perfect view and the God given chance to enjoy such a perfect setting that is both quiet & serene. There is plenty of noise and activity half a mile North to the public beaches. Almost every morning is spent sitting on the wooden steps down to the sand - with a cup of coffee and time with God. The evenings bring us the tranquility of walking along the surf or having a run around our community lake with fountains & ducks. A children's playground is across the street and bicyclist peddle down the bike side of the A1A while people of every age are roller blading, walking or jogging along the lake. On weekends we all walk to the little beach cafe in our bathing suits or evenings we either stand in a short line our the local seafood 'grill' or make reservations at the Kee Grill - jackets preferred. This little community has always been safe due to the large policy force that checks every home hourly or more. We also have a heavy security system in our home to protect our loved ones.
