On a cherry-tree lined street, situated in Point Grey near Kitsilano, this welcoming one-bedroom suite offers mountain views from its generous, private patio. The suite features double french doors which open onto beautifully maintained landscaping, and provide tons of light to this bright, airy space. The design is contemporary and open-concept, with excellent flow from one room to the next. Guests have their own entrance and alarm system, and a perfect sense of autonomy.
The suite is meticulously clean and finished to the highest standards, including a queen-sized bed, large closets, an en-suite bathroom with tiled walk-in shower, flat screen cable HD TV, wireless internet, queen-sized pull-out sectional sofa, elegant dining room and fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances (gas range, dishwasher, microwave, etc).where you can prepare your own gourmet meal and pick fresh herbs from the garden in season. We keep a good selection of herbs and oils on hand for your use, and we provide cereal and milk, coffee and cream and some excellent cookies for your arrival.
Best of all is the location: the suite is a block from several charming shops and cafes on West 10th Avenue, and two blocks from the eclectic district of Kitsilano. The beach and Jericho Park are seven blocks away, and the nearby walk along Spanish Banks offers some of the most beautiful mountain and sea and city landscapes in Vancouver. One block from the B-Line bus stop at 10th + Alma, one of the most important transit hubs, and the access point for high-speed buses to UBC in one direction (in under 10 minutes), and downtown Vancouver in the other. We are a retired couple: Alan worked in Tv and film, and Candace still does background work from time to time because she can't quite give up the acting bug. We are proud parents and grandparents, and we love to garden, golf, play tennis, ski, run and walk, travel and read. We are keen theatre and film-goers, we love entertaining and good food, wine and company!
This is the loveliest part of Vancouver, with character homes interspersed with newer modern but aesthetically pleasing houses also. We have a lovely mountain view from the Garden Suite! The gardens are all beautiful and mature trees line the streets. Its close to the beach, to the shops of West 10th Ave Village and Kitsilano, and we can bike to Granville Island, UBC, Bard on the Beach, or along the seawall at Stanley Park.
We are a lovely 10 minute walk from the beach and some of the most beautiful views in the city, 10 minutes from a superb golf course, close to several public tennis courts, close to public transit and downtown - and UBC. We are well served by restaurants and cafes in all directions, with great food stores and theatres quickly accessible. It takes half an hour to reach the slopes of Cypress Mountain in the winter for skiing and in the summer for the amazing views and hiking - and the other mountains are just a little further. Whistler is now a mere 11/2 hour drive. You can reach the ferries in 45 minutes and the Vancouver Island and smaller islands make wonderful one-day get-aways.
One of the best views of our lovely city is to be had just a few blocks walk from the house: walk west on 8th Ave. past some of the city's loveliest homes to St. Mary's Park, about a dozen blocks - and there the entire city from Point Grey to Burnaby Mountain will be revealed as a reward for your short but steady climb up!

|Our reservation policy is 50% of the total stay is payable immediately to make and hold the reservation. This is totally refundable up to a month before your arrival date, 50% refundable up to a week before, and non-refundable thereafter. The remaining 50% plus the cleaning fee is due on arrival.
You can pay by e-mail transfer which is our preferred method, cheque, money order or Pay Pal.
