Stan and I both grew up in Albuquerque, and except for 6 years that we lived in California, we've lived in New Mexico. We live in our house part of the time, and downtown Albuquerque the rest of the time so we like it to be neat and clean. We keep many of our personal items in the house to be used while we're here and for the enjoyment of our guests. We keep up the maintenance on it, and have a beautiful array of live plants both inside and out in the yard. We are situated on an acre of land with a fence around the property, which gives it a very private feel. The Corrales area is located in a farming community, yet outside the village is everything from the big box stores; Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, to the Cottonwood Mall, the Outback, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and Il Vicino restaurants - less than 4 miles away. There are also grocery stores like Sprouts Market and Albertson's close by. On the main street, Corrales Blvd., are local restaurants and specialty and antique shops. We have the best of both worlds at our doorstep.

Stan & Sarah Guinn purchased this house in 1993

We love the Corrales area because it feels very rural, yet outside of the village 10 minutes away are the largest mall, all the big box stores, restaurants, and antique stores at your doorstep.

We love to sit out on the deck in the evening and watch the lights come on. The view is spectacular and it never ceases to amaze us. We love to watch the birds and other animals as they visit and drink from the water in our pond.

Great house, Great location

Our family spent 10 days in this lovely house in Corrales. The house is large and very well organized with two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. Downstairs there is also a large "great room" with adjoining kitchen and dining area. It easily accommodates 5 or 6 people.

The house is conveniently located, about 10 minutes drive to the Cottonwood Mall commercial area in Albuquerque and 10 minutes to Rio Rancho shopping along Southern. The house sits high on a hillside lot is very private with beautiful views of Corrales, the Rio Grande valley and Sandia to the East.

I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone in the area looking for quiet and private accommodation.
Owner's Response: We're so glad that you enjoyed our home and the spectacular views. Our close proximity to the the Rio Rancho and Corrales shopping areas, yet the privacy of a home on a hill located on an acre of land make it ideal for a family to entertain, or just relax and enjoy the vistas from the front deck, day or night. There's something for everyone including the children, as they watch the roadrunners, rabbits and quail graze in the yard or get a sip of water from the pond.
We'll be happy to have you return.

My wife and i had a great time together. The view of the city was awesome. She liked getting up early and watching the balloons. The house was clean and very nice. The dishes and pots and pans were just what we needed, we also enjoyed the BBQ. The neighborhood was quiet.

Basically it was a great relaxing get away for us. We had been traveling some and this provided a nice relief.

I would highly recommend the house.

We rented this house for our family to stay in for a weekend family function. The house was perfect! Everything was well maintained and the owners, Stan & Sarah, were delightful people. Our daughter enjoyed having breakfast and coffee on the front porch...so relaxing. We also enjoyed the little quail running around and the roadrunner that visited us a couple of time each day. For a quiet relaxing stay...this is the place.

Two girlfriends and I had a wonderful weekend's stay! The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood with all the comforts of a home and a hotel. Lots of room, a full kitchen, and wonderfully accommodating hosts. We very much enjoyed the deck, the view of the mountains, and the ever present wildlife. The house is nicely located near shopping while also being in a quieter area of Albuquerque. We are already hoping for and planning a return visit!
