The house sits high atop a hill above the Sea Ranch Lodge, and offers views of the cliffs, bluffs, waves and trees at the south end of The Sea Ranch, past Stewart's Point, and beyond. Enjoy a 180 degree view of the sea and sky and see the earth curve!
Recently constructed in 2008. The home was not placed on the rental market until the fall of 2010. it's still like new!

The entertainment center has HD TV / DVD / CD player / i-pod dock with built in surround sound. There are outdoor speakers for the deck and hot tub. The boys at nearby walk on beach, where the stream meets the sea. We were married at The Sea Ranch, and have been making several trips per year every year since 1995. After years of waiting, we were lucky enough to find a hillside lot with our favorite views, and were able to build our own home in 2008.
The Owner purchased this house in 2008
The Sea Ranch is a beautiful stretch of land, about 10 miles long and 1 mile wide, along the rugged Sonoma coast line. It is hard to decribe, a mixture of sea, land, sky, waves, beaches, rocks, cliffs, bluffs, coves, forests, trees, ridgelines, and an ever changing sky filled with clouds and stars. You have to be here in person to truly appreciate the beauty. If you have been here before, then you already know what we mean.
Most visitors seem to prefer the "meadow" homes, located west of highway 1, which are closer to the ocean and beaches. We found we prefer the hillside setting, which offers wide sweeping views of the land, sea, and sky. It is more private, and we are still able to make the short and quick drives down to the beaches and trails when we want. If we can pry the boys away from their video games, we sometimes even hike down the hill to blackpoint beach. We ususally have to bribe them with the promise of hot chocolate or a snack at the Sea Ranch Lodge.
direct quotes from our guest book:
the weather was overcast but mystical. we went kayaking, to the point arena lighthouse, hiking, biking and swimming.
your house is magiccal!! thank you!!
Our family has been vacationing at The Sea Ranch for the past 14 consecutive years, staying in 13 different homes. This home is the nicest home we've ever stayed in and here's why: (1) Architectural placement of the home in the mountain side allows for a costal view on all three levels; (2) The home's floor plan creates privacy and full-bathroom access on all three levels;(3) High quality appliances and materials in kitchen: gas stove, dual ovens, large refrig.,granite counter tops;(4) High quality Anderson windows with pull down blinds;(5)Access to two car garage; (6) Beautiful wood floor on second level, high end carpet on 1st & 3rd level; (7) Comfortable patio furniture on deck; (8) Lighting, both inside and outside of the home articulate the home's special features; and (9) Great HOT tub with view of the ocean. If you don't like this home; You'll never capture the Sea Ranch experience. THANK YOU to the owners for sharing your home, it is truly spectacular.
For the second year in a row, my daughter and I celebrated her birthday and Mother's Day at 7 Blue Mile. A deer was "waiting" for us in the yard. (Last year there was a pregnant doe in the yard in the morning and a mother and newly born fawn in the afternoon!). The house is like something out of a magazine - amazing views of the water from an interior which is aesthetically delightful and immaculate. I love every room - a living room with a very comfortable couch and chair and a fireplace. A dining room which seats 10. A window seat when one enters. And all of those rooms face the ocean. It has a wonderfully large and very functional kitchen which, because the rooms are open, also has a view of the ocean. Then there's the deck which is perfect for reading and taking in the view and the hot tub and its view of the ocean and of the stars. Plus three lovely bedrooms. Couldn't be a better place to stay! We sat on the deck and read, took walks, enjoyed the hot tub, danced and talked and talked and talked. We'll be back for a third visit in 2015!
My husband and I had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful Sea Ranch home. The home is very clean, well kept, and has wonderful views. The hot tub was very relaxing and the kitchen was very modern and had just what we needed. We will be returning because we were very happy with our experience at this home!
We are typically ocean bluff "Sea Ranchers" but decided to try a hill side house and we are now sold. This house has the best views we have had after our 5 stays at Sea Ranch. The master has a one of the best of the whole house and is amazing to wake up to. The kids said the window downstairs what better than watching tv and the deck has equally amazing shots of the coast. All modern appliances and furiture in the house (Ikea). The surround sound system is nice to listen to out on the deck and in the house. We backed up the driveway because it was a little tight for an SUV to turn around, but car would have no problem. Plus, two car garage to park in or store bikes.
The beach is a short walk (10-15 minutes) and will give your legs a good work out on the way back up Moonraker. If you don't want the workout, simple 2 minute drive with ample parking in TSR.
Lastly, you are close to some amazing running, hiking and mountain biiking trails. Road riding is epic, if you like to climb and enjoy views.
We are coming back to this house from now on, thank you!
I throughly enjoyed myself during my time here. The weather was perfect and the views are breathtaking. Great locations nearby for walking, jogging , hiking, or just sitting and enjoying the spectacular view. The kitchen had everything we needed and the house was very cozy…..not to mention a great hot tub too. Money well spent.
My husband and I travel and rent homes quite a bit and I am extremely picky when it comes to accomodations. Seven Blue Mile was perfect!!! The house was very clean and tastefully done. The views were unsurpassed. We drove to several other homes that we were considering and we know we had the best view/accomodations. I would absolutley recommend Seven Blue Mile to any discerning traveler. My husband and I will definatley return to Seven Blue Mile and recommend this home to others.
