Calle Acuarela - the name says it all. It means Watercolor Way. From the pink and gold sunsets to the teeming verdant desert, it's no wonder that our street is called Watercolor Way in Spanish. This newly remodeled townhome has tile floors throughout (except in bedrooms). Even the covered patio is tiled. The fully equipped galley kitchen includes a breakfast area for two and upgraded appliances. Small appliances include toaster, crock pot, and blender.The dining area is set up for four but the table is expandable for larger parties. There is a new 32'HDTV with DVD in the living room as well as a micro fiber sofa and rocker recliner Each of the spacious bedrooms has ample closet space and a personal TV with cable hookup. The bathrooms have skylights, new ADA highboy toilets and grab bars in the tub/showers. WIFI high speed wireless internet available. If you can pry yourself away from these wonderful accommodations there is a rec center with pool, hot tub & shuffleboard just around the corner

Green Valley Recreation: Green Valley Recreation membership is available for a nominal fee and includes 13 recreational facilities located throughout Green Valley. Activities include swimming pools, fitness centers, arts and crafts rooms, jacuzzi, tennis courts, billiards, shuffleboard, dancing, ceramic and clay studios, woodworking, and computer club and more. Special interest classes are available and a catalog is printed twice a year with listings. The offerings include caligraphy, geneology, yoga, etc. It's no wonder many retirees say they are busier now than they were during their working life.

Our townhouse is centrally locted in Gren Valley. Close to it all!

Golf: Green Valley is a golfer's paradise. There are nine course available for a nominal fee and three private courses. And, if that's not enough there are at least two dozen other courses within an hour's drive. Golf is a way of life in Green Valley, so much so that golf carts are considered a second car. And, golf cart lanes are featured on many streets. It's no surprise though, because the sunshine allows for play literally 365 days per year!

Explore Madera Canyon!: The Santa Rita Mountains and Madera Canyon are just 15 miles from Green Valley. The canyon, carved out by Madera Creek, is home to a vast assorment of wildlife. In the spring and summer the bird watching experience is unrivaled. This lush riparian habitat offers several hiking trails, picnic areas and overnight cabins where you can enjoy the the great outdoors.

The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in early February draws exhibitors from around the world - a must if you are a rock hound or into beading. Awesome stay........to be repeated

As a semi-retired couple, we have been going to SE Arizona for birdwatching and sunny weather in the spring for the previous 7 years. In the past, we motel hopped and we thought we'd try to stay in one central location for a couple of weeks this time. This condo in Green Valley looked pretty good on-line so we figured we'd give it a try for a couple of weeks. It far exceeded our expectations!
The owner was easy to get in touch with and answered all our questions in a prompt and courteous manner. There were a couple of items we needed to have in the kitchen and she made sure they were there for us. The place was cozy, neat, well furnished, and located in a quiet community close to everything we required. The development, as well as this particular unit, were well maintained we quickly felt at home.
There were 2 of us for one week and 3 of us for the second week and the place was spacious enough for a fourth person as well. We cooked almost all our meals there and although the kitchen was a bit small, it provided all the equipment necessary to get the job done.
We were there during the first half of April and weather was beautiful. It appeared that most of the "snow birds" were gone so the neighborhood seemed to be overly quiet, which suited us just fine. The "back yard" is comprised of a couple of acres of desert scrub which was just beginning to "leaf out" and gave the illusion of being on the edge of the desert, not the middle of a development.
We are planning to stay again next year.........what else needs to be said!

WE WOULD HANDS DOWN RECOMMEND THIS RENTAL TO ANY ONE!!
Me, my husband and our 4 children stayed for 5 days and were so comfortable. Rich and Maryanne (the owners) really went above and beyond to make our stay a comfortable one. They went and bought the kids their favorite cereal and milk so they had breakfast in the morning as we were getting into town late. We were so thankful for that kind gesture. The home is clean and beautiful. Relaxing on the back porch in the mornings and the evenings was really nice with lots of bird watching. This rental is located in a very convenient area with all the amenities close by. We hope when we visit again that this property will be available as this is the only place we would want to stay. You will not be sorry you chose this property. Thanks for the wonderful vacation.

Golf week

My two old high school buddies and I spent 8 days in Green Valley, golfing and enjoying the weather. There are several good golf courses nearby, not too expensive. This rental was just what we needed. It's not a big place, but it has two nice sized bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom...and a patio that we enjoyed very much. The patio faces the desert, and we saw lots of birds and other animals back there, especially in the morning. The desert area has some trees that helped shade the patio on hot afternoons. Evenings were very pleasant. The rental is in a community of small homes and townhouses. It includes use of all Green Valley Association recreation facilities. We used the pool and hot tub nearly every evening. The location is convenient. It's a good rental if you want a nice but not too fancy place to stay that allows you to cook, grill, and be centrally located in Green Valley. It currently has only two big beds, but there is also a futon, which worked fine for me.
Overall, a very nice place, very nice owners, and a good experience. Plus, it's tough to beat the price!
