Yellowstone Cabin Rental On Private Acreage Five Miles From The Park's North Gate And Best Wildlife Watching And Cutthroat Trout Fishing!

Charming cabin built in 2009 with two bedrooms that sleeps 5-8 located just five minutes from Yellowstone Park's North Entrance on 26 acres of private property. Perfect for travelers who want easy access to the famous Northern Range and Lamar Valley with its bison, elk, deer, wolves, bears, AND fishing for world-famous Yellowstone cutthroat trout!

This beautiful cabin is unlike all other vacation rental properties in the area. Lying in an extremely private location just above Highway 89 north of Gardiner, Montana, and the Roosevelt Arch, the cabin is easily accessed by a well-maintained, short, 300 yard-long Private Drive.

This setting provides you with total solitude and isolation from any hustle and bustle of the busy roadways leading to/from the park. However, at the same time, when needed, you are just minutes away from restaurants, the market, and shops in Gardiner or a bit further away in Livingston and Bozeman.

Built on a log frame, this cabin has all modern amenities yet has a great amount of rustic appeal including beautiful hardwood floors. It has enormous windows giving you unmatched views of Yellowstone's Electric Peak, Devil's Slide, Dome Mountain, and many other spectacular geological features. Wildlife abound here and deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, or bison are seen on the meadows and mountain slopes near the cabin. Often during the spring and fall, they are standing right in the cabin's yard. No-where else in the northern Rockies will you find wildlife this abundant and close in a natural setting.

Horses graze nearby, and the Yellowstone River, home to world-class trout fishing, leaves the park and passes just a few hundred yards below you.

There are many access sites to the Yellowstone River very near to the cabin, one within easy walking distance (that is a very great fishing spot...just ask our boys!).

Being near Gardiner, our cabin is at the home of the Yellowstone Association, a long-standing educational institute offering numerous courses in the park. The Electric Peak Cabin is a perfect place to stay when visiting and attending these courses.

We (2 adults) just returned from a week in the park during which we used the Electric Peak cabin as our home base. The cabin was perfect, clean, well appointed, comfortable, and close enough to town for convenience but far enough away for solitude.

Our routine was to get up and out early, spend a full day shooting in the park, and return at night for drinks, dinner, and to review our photos. We lucked out during our visit and had sightings of both the 8-mile and Canyon packs. We also saw coyotes, elk, moose, fox, and bighorn sheep in the park and deer both in the park and right in the backyard.

The cabin was a perfect place to unwind and spread out at the end of the day. We particularly appreciated that there were enough electrical outlets to charge lots of camera batteries, multiple ipads, iphones, and laptops and still brew up a pot of coffee. The WiFi helped us keep in touch (skype and facetime) and even email enough photos home to make people envious.

If you are planning a visit to the area we'd highly recommend making this your base of operations. We certainly will in the future.

Wonderful clean, private, cozy cabin with amazing views and great location close to park

We stayed with another couple for a long weekend of xc skiing the northern portion of Yellowstone NP. This was an amazing location to start out our visit and to come back to each night after being in the park until dark. With the kitchen and living area it was ideal for us to relax and enjoy our vacation time and not be in a hotel with stale air and no place to make food. We loved this place from the moment we walked in. It is incredibly clean and a wonderfully efficient cabin. We couldn't stop talking about how well they used the space and not needing any more space for all 4 of us mid age adults. The bed linens were fresh and smelled wonderful when laying down your head at night. We cooked dinner each night and made breakfast each morning, packing lunches with us to take into the park. The views of Electric peak (especially in February) were breathtaking. We had amazingly sunny weather and the snow capped peak was gorgeous. If you decide to book this cabin for your vacation to Yellowstone you will not be disappointed. The contact with the owner Todd was professional and top-notch from start to finish. Highly recommend this rental.

A Super Place To Stay

We (me, my husband and our 10-year-old son) just arrived back in the UK after staying for 10 days at the EP Cabin. The cabin is very comfortable, clean and well equipped, with wonderful views of the valley and mountains from all rooms and who knows what animals may pass by. It's a mere 10-minute drive to Gardiner and the north entrance to Yellowstone. Gardiner has a very well stocked grocery store and Livingston is less than an hour's drive away. The townsfolk are very welcoming - sadly this is becoming a rarer commodity in the world these days.

We spent almost all of our waking hours in Yellowstone. We were lucky enough to spend 1 week there in August and decided to return in the winter for cross country skiing. It was our son's first ski trip of any kind - he had a couple of lessons in Bozeman before we got to Yellowstone and by the time our holiday had finished he was keeping pace with us. The ski trails in the park are beautiful and mostly fairly easy. We had some great views of bison - they were "guarding" a couple of the trails - and a coyote trotted right past us on another trail.

We would highly recommend any trip to Yellowstone - and staying at the EP Cabin, especially if you want peace and quiet. Todd was fascinating to talk to as he works within the park.

WE had such a great time on our trip to the northern part of YELLOWSTONE and staying for the week at Electric Peak Cabin was one of the hight lights. Knowing after a busy day in the park, we had a quiet and private place to go was wonderful! We would watch the deer come off the mountain right behind us into the fields to join the mountain sheep that seemed to be there around us all day. Elk and antelope and even more deer were in the fields across the Yellowstone River for us to watch. Cabin was great with big windows and a cozy front porch to relax and just watch the snow come in and the sun go down over the peak. Loved it! It was nice to go into Gardiner ( a mile, maybe)and buy our supplies for the day and cook up a can of stew at night and sit around to talk and play cards. We will be back.

Texans who love Yellowstone National Park

5 of 5
Submitted: November 3, 2012 Stayed: September 2012
We've been to Yellowstone National Park 10 times and this time were staying one month as our first retirement adventure. In the past we have stayed in all the park lodges and all the surrounding communities, but this cabin was the best so far. Everything we needed was there, especially the kitchen availability since we were there for four weeks. We thoroughly enjoyed the front porch and view of the mountains. We were able to watch pronghorn, elk, coyotes, bald eagles and bighorn sheep daily from our own porch both morning and evening - a pretty good adventure before you even pass through the gates of Yellowstone. The town of Gardiner was only 5 minutes away on our way into the park each day and provided dining and shopping. As avid hikers, we loved the serenity of the cabin at the end of a big day in the park. Todd was able to provide us advice on the park whenever we asked him questions. The cabin was exactly as pictured in photos online - well laid out, clean, and a good place to call home whether you are there a day or a month. We've recommended it to many friends at home and plan to use this as our base in Yellowstone for future trips. Yellowstone National Park is a gem of a park and Electric Peak Cabin is a gem of a place to stay.
