We (2 adults) just returned from a week in the park during which we used the Electric Peak cabin as our home base. The cabin was perfect, clean, well appointed, comfortable, and close enough to town for convenience but far enough away for solitude.
Our routine was to get up and out early, spend a full day shooting in the park, and return at night for drinks, dinner, and to review our photos. We lucked out during our visit and had sightings of both the 8-mile and Canyon packs. We also saw coyotes, elk, moose, fox, and bighorn sheep in the park and deer both in the park and right in the backyard.
The cabin was a perfect place to unwind and spread out at the end of the day. We particularly appreciated that there were enough electrical outlets to charge lots of camera batteries, multiple ipads, iphones, and laptops and still brew up a pot of coffee. The WiFi helped us keep in touch (skype and facetime) and even email enough photos home to make people envious.
If you are planning a visit to the area we'd highly recommend making this your base of operations. We certainly will in the future.
