Beautiful!

My husband and I, along with our 16 month old daughter, had an amazing time staying at this house. The house is right on the beach - step down from the porch and you are on the sand... take 10 steps forward and you are in the ocean. The beach itself is beautiful, the water is crystal clear and looks breathtakingly blue and, when we were there, was warm - especially in the late afternoon. It was wonderful for swimming, for going on walks, collecting shells, etc. This is the perfect 'get away from it all' type place. It is not the place to go if you want restaurants, bars, people watching, nightlife, etc. Walk 20 mins in one direction and you get to a small bar attached to the Pelican Hotel (very pleasant spot to grab a drink), walk 20 mins in the other direction and you get to a restaurant. There are a few other houses on the beach, although most - when we were there - seemed to be empty. There is a small grocery store not too far, but they only have basic things and few vegetables and fruits. That's pretty much it, so you really do need to stock up at the IGA before you go if you are staying for a while and want more variety. The house itself was comfortable and clean, and it had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of towels, linens, etc. There are two hammocks outside, and sun chairs, which was great! The best part for us, though, was the location on such a beautiful, pristine beach. It was exactly what we wanted and we have fond memories!
