Located in historic Waddington alley in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia you will find a beautiful heritage conversion called Morley's soda factory. We were very lucky to get our hands on what we think is the finest unit in the building and one of only two offering a private garden patio. Located on the quiet back corner of the building our suite is approximately six hundred square feet and features a loft sleeping area, a full kitchen and top of the line modern furnishings. Our private garden patio is the largest one in the building at approximately 450 square feet of serene beauty in the heart of downtown and equipped with a full size BBQ and some very cool patio furniture.

Waddington alley is steps away from the inner harbour and some of the finest restaurants and shopping in Victoria. Our Waddington alley flat is in the heart of old town and when staying here you will be across the street from historic market square and two blocks from the second oldest China town on the west coast. Many of the city's restaurateurs go to pick up their produce in China town as it is about a half of the price of the downtown grocery store and has all kinds of surprises for the home based gourmet.

Our loft has sixteen foot ceilings, polished concrete floors and many of the walls feature brick walls from the original 1850's building. We spared no expense with the furnishings as you will find a leather sofa bed, large LCD wall mounted television and some modern teak and Herman Miller furniture amongst things.

The unit is amazingly quiet for being in the centre of downtowns hustle and bustle and within walking distance of just about everything the city has to offer. There is a secure parking garage ( Bastion square ) across Yates street where for a small fee you can park your vehicle.

Whether it is the Lojo shopping district, the world famous inner harbour, the city's finest restaurants or Victoria's nightlife you will find it within seconds of your door step. The sea plane terminal is less than a five minute walk away and is where you can catch a thirty minute flight to downtown Vancouver or to the south terminal at Vancouver international airport.

This is a truly unique building, the location is perfect and having such a huge private garden patio in the heart of downtown is unheard of. Opportunities to own such a unit come up once in a lifetime and we could not pass up this opportunity.

You have it all at my Waddington flat, you are steps away from some of the city's best restaurants and hippest nightclubs yet while in the suite it is perfectly quiet and you really have no idea that you are in the heart of downtown. The unit features a massive garden patio that you would maybe expect in something in the suburbs but you are maybe a hundred and fifty feet from the inner harbour. If you could see through the back wall of the courtyard you would be looking into Ill Terrazo which is consistently rated as one of the top restaurants in the city.

You can believe what you read in previous reviews, this place does not disappoint! I brought my 17 year old granddaughter from Washington state to experience Victoria and this was the perfect home base for us to explore from. It is just steps away from the harbor, there are tons of places to shop, great food right outside the door, easy access to everywhere! The unit was clean, well decorated, has a lovely private garden off the livngroom, nice size tv, large comfy bed-everything you need for a perfect stay! You will be glad you came here!

located right in between Johnson and Yates, this place is a perfect downtown location for one or two people....You walk out and are 1/2 a block from Market Square, or 1/2 block from the harbour, or 1/2 block from great restaurants on Yates, like Suze, or the Lucky Bar....I love staying here!

Great location in a great city.

My wife and I stayed here for a quick 3-day weekend. What a blast. The location was perfect for exploring central Victoria on foot and the building has privacy and charm. The owner was attentive, responsive, and quick with communication. Would not hesitate to recommend this rental to friends.

my husband and totally enjoyed our stay here!! Great location , right downtown, central and walking distance to everything. Our stay was in February, and the weather was quite nice, but staying at this location in the spring and summer would be awesome!
John our host was very accommodating, and the loft was sparkling clean and all ammenities available. We would definitely recommend this property.

Delightful experience, perfect place to stay while visiting Victoria

Dealing with an attentive property owner is key to a good rental on VBRO and this place has just that.....from my initial request for available dates (immediate response) all the way to departure our experience with seamless. When our plans changed by a day and we needed to nudge our arrival over, we had our answer right away...and it was "we see no problem with that request". The description and pictures are accurate though don't do justice to the "feel" of this place. A well designed, visually appealing, secure building tucked in the middle of a historic alley, you immediately feel a sense of security. The loft is comfortable, clean and well maintained. It's kitchen perfectly stocked with sufficient pots and pans for cooking, nice tub if you want to soak, very comfortable king size bed with good reading lamps on each side. We were there during a frigid cold snap which made Victoria sparkle even more. The loft was toasty and comfortable. There's a lovely patio area, quite spacious considering and we hope to return in the late summer and enjoy some al fresco dining. Victoria is a foodie's city and this location could not be more perfect as you can easily walk to many fine places from pubs & casual to fine dining, it's all right there and so close to the wharf. We have been using VBRO since 2006 and this is one of the few properties we have reviewed and the first to have 5 *****'s.
