We couldn't imagine a better place to go for first vacation with our 7 week old son, it was everything we dreamed of and much more thanks to wonderful host. Judith truly makes one feel right at home, always ready to offer invaluable information about surrounding area, best places to eat or hike or bike. She went as far as to offer us to baby sit our son so we could spend an evening alone, which as surprising was a very nice offer. Upon arrival we were charmed by the atmosphere of place, truly a work of an artist, as well as several very warm, personal touches - fresh fruit in fridge, welcoming message composed on a table. Property is very well maintained, squeaky clean, and very well supplied. We plan to return as soon as possible.
Owner's Response: Thank you Michael. What a delight it was to host this family and their new baby. Being able to take their baby's Bugaboo buggy deep into the quiet of the woods was a remarkable experience. This was made possible by the new 5 mile Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail that connects Glen Arbor to The Sleeping Bear Dunes with a 10 foot wide paved trail for walking, and bikes--no mortorized vehicles! It weaves its way through an old growth forest of towering trees, Day Forest Campgrounds along the coast of Lake Michigan and ending at the base of the giant Sleeping Bear Dune Climb. What a joy to see a new family fall in love with this beautiful country.
