Their is one double air mattress that can sleep two and be placed in the living area. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all the basic amenities. on a storm day and this location will give you the opportunity to get to it first and not be left stranded.
We spent 2015 Valentine weekend at Jim's cabin for skiing. The location is within minutes to Boreal and Sugar Bowl, perfect for winter activities in that area. The cabin is clean, nice, and cozy. All the utilities and appliances are functioning properly. It has good collection of kitchen utensils, which is great for our group of 6 adults who like to prepare our own meals. It has a big screen TV in the living room and great internet connection. I brought Google Chromcast and Amazon Firestick, so while at night we were not out skiing, we watched videos and movies from Youtube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. Jim, the property manager, is very responsive in communication. I started the reservation only a few days before the trip, but we were able to complete the process in time and have a peace of mind knowing our accommodation was secured. Staying in Jim's cabin definitely is a big part of this memorable ski trip to us.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. We had a nice stay and the store across the way was a great benefit! You can hear the trains going by but it didn't seem to bother us during bedtime. We were excited to have such a short drive to the ski hill as well.
The listing is very accurate and the property was clean and well-maintained. Our family of four (including 2 small children) had a very nice stay and were comfortable.
The reason I only gave it 3 stars is because the refrigerator did not work during our entire three night stay (it wasn't working when we showed up), and the owner's solution was to have us store our food in the backyard. There really wasn't any effort to try and fix it; although it was a holiday weekend, so I'm not sure what could have been done. Our dinner was stolen one night, presumably by a raccoon, and going in and out to get things from our cooler (thank goodness we had a cooler with us) was inconvenient at best. Our final day there, a fuse blew in the kitchen and we couldn't cook breakfast. No answer from the owner when I reached out.
Again, overall, we had a nice stay. It was a cozy, rustic cabin that worked well for our family, but there were some details that could have been improved upon, especially a working fridge.
Great ski cabin: the living room has a wood-burning stove and comfy sofas; the kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans; the dining room table fit our family; and we loved playing all the board games in the evening. It is not all fru-fru like some places and we felt very comfortable with kids in it. The back yard was nice for kids too.
My family and I had a great time at this cabin. Located very handy for skiing and the board games were a fun night time activity. Owner made things very simple and easy.
This was our first cabin rental and the experience was excellent....exceeded our expectations. This cabin provides everything you would need; just bring your food and clothes and DVDs and you are all set. And if you missed anything there is a store across the street. I would recommend this for a hassle free vacation.
