This beautiful 3 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath mountain home comfortably accommodates 8 guests. Constructed in 2008, this home is located at the wonderful Grand Elk Ranch and Club and is just a short drive from the town of Winter Park. This central location puts you just minutes from the great Colorado mountain activities you enjoy.
260 Buckhorn Circle is in the center of everything. Winter Park and Mary Jane are just 20 minutes away and Sol Vista is directly across the highway for some world class skiing and boarding. There is access to the State’s finest river and stream fishing. Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain Reservoir and Grand Lake provide some of the most notable boating and fishing experiences in the Rocky Mountains. This does not even begin to cover other activities and events in the area – Rodeos, Wine, Beer, Food and Music Festivals, and…..did we mention the miles and miles of biking, hiking and snowmobiling trails. There is golf, river rafting, snowshoeing, horseback riding, fine dining, casual dining – there is truly an unlimited amount of enjoyment awaiting you out your front door when you stay at 260 Buckhorn Circle and when you have had enough – stay in, kick back and enjoy the wonderful accommodations and breathtaking views
We stayed here for a week during the first rifle season 2014 and hunted nearby. The cabin is amazing, it has everything you need and is right next door to stores. Would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to stay in granby.
Great stay at this cabin. 4 of us stayed here for 3 days and we all loved it. Very well decorated and comfortable. Had basically everything you could need for cooking. A nice grill outside, plates, silverware, etc...It's not secluded as there are cabins next door, yet it was very quiet and peaceful sitting outside on the deck grilling up steaks and having a small fire in the fire pit. Beautiful views and even saw some wildlife from the porch. A coyote and some Pronghorn. The cabin is also an easy, scenic, 20 minute drive to Rocky mountain national park West entrance. We drove all the way to the Estes park entrance on the East side and we were SO glad we chose to stay where we did after seeing how crowded it was on the other side. Bumper to bumper traffic in Estes park. I also want to mention to anyone considering doing some 4 wheeling, there is a place called "On the trail rentals" that is not far from the pay station entrance to the park. You wont see it from the road as it's down a side street about 2 miles but I would highly recommend it. The day we spent riding ATV'S was by far the highlight of the trip. Unlike , most places that rent ATV'S, they don't require an up front security deposit. We checked with the other ATV company that's on the main road and they required a $500 deposit up front for each machine. That was a bit out of our price range. We paid $220 each for 8 hours of ATV riding and it included a full tank of gas. You can't go wrong with this cabin and can't go wrong spending a day 4 wheeling in the wilderness.
We had a wonderful time at this home!! It is large, clean, comfortable, well-stocked (even coffee and a fresh dozen eggs in the refrigerator), with a great view of a pond with ducks in the back. Our girls enjoyed playing the board games by the fireplace, which felt good on cool evenings. The beds were comfortable, and the proximity to so many fun things to do (which wore us out) made the house a great place to come home to. Also, though it feels private and peaceful, there is a great grocery store within a mile! We hope to come back and bring the rest of our family!
We thoroughly enjoyed this property for our Spring Break ski trip. Two families were very comfortable here. Property was just as described and had everything we needed!
Our family visited Granby Ranch for skiing on February 28 and March 1, 2014 and we stayed at the subject rental with my wife and our two kids. We were so pleased with the entire home and all the amenities that were included. The owner was excellent to work with and the entire process was very transparent and simple. The property itself was very quiet, clean, and really comfortable after an entire day and night skiing both days. The kitchen was so well appointed with everything a family would need to cook and feed the crew. The living room has a very comfortable sofa and the entertainment system works well. As far as food or any other additional needs for the family, there is a King Soopers grocery store only about 2 minutes away...very convenient. The bedrooms were clean, beautiful and truly comfortable. Our daughter loved the multiple bunk bed arrangement in the front bedroom. Our son did excellent in the side bedroom. The Master bedroom was truly an escape...the best was we had our own bathroom. We used the outdoor grill to make steaks on our last night...and mushrooms and onions in the kitchen. It snowed about 6 inches during our stay, which was beautiful touch by Mother Nature. Our overall experience was tremendous and we will plan on renting this place again. If you want a clean, comfortable, nicely maintained place to relax and download the days events with your family, then this is the place for you.
My husband, our five kids and I had a great time on our vacation. The rental was beyond our expectations in every way. Furnishings were comfortable and attractive (I wish I could have brought home the bed from the master bedroom). We all loved relaxing on the couch in front of the fireplace. (How have I lived so long without the convenience of a gas fireplace)? We spent one evening playing the provided games- great variety for all ages.
This was our first time renting a home for vacation. I was a bit nervous about the prospect, especially after receiving an email from VRBO advising to be clear about what the homeowner was providing. I needn't have worried, there was plenty of bedding, towels, dishware, glassware, condiments, etc.
We vacation regularly in the Winter Park/Granby area. Not only do we have friends and family in the area, but my husband and I met and married during the 6 years we lived there. We were quick to show the rental off and a family member who usually books through a property management company was very impressed with our unit. She exclaimed that it was almost twice as big, and more modern and attractively decorated than a similarly priced two bedroom unit at Granby Ranch.
We will definitely be back in the future!
