We rented the farmhouse with friends to stay the weekend for a wedding we attended in Kittery. The farmhouse far exceeded my expectations. It was very cozy, clean, and well kept. It was spacious with plenty of cozy nooks to provide room for everyone. We had 4 cars and there was plenty of parking. The owners are beyond accommodating and are truly wonderful people. My only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer than just the weekend!
Great location, quiet spot but easy driving into Kittery or up and down the coast, we especially enjoyed visiting York, Ogunquit, Portland and Portsmouth.
The farmhouse is very spacious, the bedrooms are a good size and the kitchen is well kitted out.
The kayaks were an added bonus, the owners were very helpful and my husband and kids enjoyed their time on the river.
I would mention that the stairs are very steep so not suitable for small children or elderly! my two (10 & 14) were fine and liked choosing which room to have, there are two large bedrooms downstairs and three upstairs.
I would definitely recommend this vacation spot.
If I travel again for more than a couple days, the stay at this farmhouse will make me think twice about booking a hotel. There was so much space for our family and my sisters that stayed here. The wrap around porch was great in the morning for coffee and in the evening for a night cap. A full dining table allowed us to eat together, play games and enjoy the company while having enough rooms to allow for our own relaxation time.
The owner is great! She was very flexible and available if we needed anything. The location is so close to all the shopping of Kittery and Portsmouth, NH but the road it sits on is quiet and you forget how close you are to the hustle and bustle.
There were plenty of linens, kitchen items and even a washer and dryer available in the house. And the grounds were beautiful as well!
The upstairs is great for kids to escape into their own area with a play room and couple of bedrooms along with a full bath.
I look forward to visiting this farmhouse again in the future!
We are a group of girls that work together and have taken an annual shopping trip for a few years now. This year we wanted to try Kittery and the Portsmouth area. It's not easy finding a place that can accommodate 7 people, but we are so glad we found this farmhouse! Very reasonable priced, clean, plenty of parking, plenty of sleeping and the grounds are beautiful! Shopping was minutes away by car. We ate supper at Roberts, it was excellent, the pumpkin martini was fabulous! I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. We are all looking forward to coming back next year!
We stayed here with a group of friends for a weekend and were very happy to find it. We had trouble finding a property that would be good for a group and available for a weekend but this is the perfect place if that is what you are looking for. The house had plenty of sleeping and was well equipped and maintained. The owner was friendly, accommodating and happy to give recommendations of things in the area. I would definitely consider returning and would recommend to others. It is very close to the outlets, there is a nice walking path to water where you could boat (not beach), good restaurant options nearby (we enjoyed Captain and Patty's on the water at Kittery Point) and within reasonable driving distance to the beach (about 15 minutes to York). Overall a lovely charming place.
There were 5 of us who rented this lovely farmhouse together for the weekend. Kittery was a great meeting place for us- we were all coming from different locations & it was the perfect spot for us to gather. The farmhouse was well maintained and offered us all plenty of space to both spread out & be together. While the owners live on property, we still felt a sense of privacy. Parking though was a bit tricky at times- we had 5 cars amongst us. We especially enjoyed the beautiful wrap around porch- we spent both mornings there drinking coffee & relaxing. We also enjoyed the farmhouses' close proximity to the beach, shopping & restaurants.
Whether you are visiting Maine for great Outlet shopping at Kittery Outlets, or wanting to take time off from your busy lifestyle -- our farmhouse welcomes guests year-round to a fully renovated turn of the century, cozy antique space, once part of a working dairy farm in Kittery.
Each window from the farmhouse offers bucolic views of our sprawling four acres of professionally landscaped grounds -- and the surrounding natural beauty. Enjoy the breathtaking sunsets - or get a front seat view of nature at its best in abutting conservation duck pond - stroll down to Spruce Creek on Land Trust walking trails ideal for nature lovers -- or walk to Spruce Creek right on the property and take a relaxing kayak ride down Spruce Creek to ride by surrounding homes.
We encourage you to discover Kittery beyond the outlets -- and explore the Rt. 1 Gourmet Mile where you can stop at organic markets, pasta shops, bakeries, and fish and meat markets. Then stroll into downtown Kittery foreside area to enjoy numerous arts organizations - antique shops, gift shops of locally made arts and numerous restaurants offering Thai, Mexican, Indian, and other cuisine. Kittery is the hidden gem of the southern Maine seacoast - with beautiful beaches, gourmet restaurants, antique shops, art galleries and gift shops to satisfy everyone's tastes and needs.
We are also conveniently located 1 hour from Boston and 5 miles from historic Portsmouth, NH. - and only a mile away from major highways, and Kittery Outlets.
