This wonderful apartment with stunning hardwood floors is one of only two in the building. Up one flight of stairs with exposed brick walls, and into your 600 sq ft city getaway you enter a long hallway. To your right, the sparkling white bathroom (with combination shower/tub) and straight ahead your Queen- size, latex mattress awaits you (doctor recommended for bad backs). Luxuriate in the snow white sheets and gaze up through the skylight. The windows have leopard print sheers for the day and black-out curtains for your night time comfort. The apartment has a huge closet available for storing all your belongings. You can also relax enjoying the 36' flat screen HDTV and cable.
Not ready for bed? Then follow the long hall to the left into the sky-lit kitchen and spacious living room separated by a large, built-in chopping block bar with full counter. Perfect for meals you may wish to “eat in,' the kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, and pans for the cooks among you. But why cook? Some of New York’s finest restaurants are in the neighborhood.
Only steps away is the Grand Szechuan, recently opened and acclaimed by New York Magazine as Best New Chinese Restaurant and for the best price too. And authentic to boot! Across the street is the famous St. Luke’s Place, listed in every guidebook as the Historic “must see” street in The Village. As day turns to night, the urban sounds of the city immerse you in the magic of the New York City experience.
You can rent a book from the Hudson Branch of the New York Library and enjoy it nearby in The James J. Walter Park. The Park packs plenty of entertainment for all children of all ages; from jungle gyms to tether ball, ball fields and athletic fields, as well as an Italian Bocce Court for the young-at-heart. Adjacent is the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center which offers adult memberships at $35, seniors at $10, and 6-17 year olds are free.
Bleecker Street, only two short blocks away, is famous for its new designer shops and specialty food stores, selling everything from freshly baked bread to homemade Italian sausage. Experience what it is like to be a real New Yorker with anything that you could ever want within 2 blocks. We are sure you will enjoy your stay in this artistic Village apartment near all transportation, shopping and some of the best restaurants in the Village. The 6th and 7th Avenue subway lines are close and all other lines are nearby.

Being in the middle of West Village, it is so easy to have a great time and enjoy the city life right out the door. You can literally become a New Yorker in minutes. I really hope you enjoy the apartment.
Loved this apartment ... I rent apartments every year in NYC and this one I would rent again. The neighborhood has all you need, we stayed 7 days and this is on my fav list for comfort and location. The apartment is cute and is as shown on site. The Super John and Luca are very easy to deal with. Thank you for sharing your home:))
My sister and I stayed at this apartment for four nights and we absolutely loved it. We enjoyed the neighborhood and it was very close to the subway. Luca was extremely helpful and John was very nice too. You can hear some noise in the apartment and yes the subway runs under the apartment, but you are in NYC, what do you expect? The noise or the subway never bothered us at all. We were so tired when we came back from exploring the city that we slept like rocks in the super comfy bed. The photos in the apartment was very nice too. The overall feel of the apartment was very nice. It gave us the feel of being real New Yorkers for a few days and was way way better than staying in a hotel. If you do stay here, you have to eat at the Grey Dog on Carmine street, it is delicious. There are several places down Carmine to eat. The neighborhood in General is nice and it was convenient from the airport. We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return again for another visit in NYC.
Apartment exactly as advertised. Comfortable bed, living area, bath. Tastefully decorated. Non-linear layout makes it feel even bigger than it is. Excellent coffee-maker and other modern appliances, electronics. Air conditioning helpful not only for cooling but to reduce outside noise. Extremely convenient to Village, subway. (The subway rumbling beneath the ground is real, but I found it relaxing.) Even found nearby on-street parking for weekend. Did not use it, of course, since everything accessible by foot or train. Minor annoyance of needing to call super multiple times (day before, hour before, time of arrival, day before departure). But he was accessible and very nice. We would definitely return.
We stayed in this gem for a week and found it terrific. We are seasoned renters in Manhattan and have had so many so so places over the last 15 years. Great communication and wonderful clean accomodation makes this definately my go to apt. in NY.
Great bed and super aircon , cable tv and terriffic location, subway below no big deal for us.
We are going back later in the year.
Thanks to all for the service .
This place is exactly as the pictures show- very cute and comfortable. My daughter and I stayed there for 6 nights. Gianluca was very good at communicating and we were greeted by John the super of the building. He was also very kind and accommodated my early arrival by allowing me to put my stuff inside the apartment until the maid had come to clean the place. There was plenty of room for both of us- she stayed on the couch and I in the bedroom- although there is plenty of room in the bedroom for two. The bathroom is a good size for a village apartment also and the water ran hot and strong. It was a perfect apartment for visiting anywhere in the city- the 1 is just down the block and can easily get you uptown or downtown. The R,N (yellow line) is only a few blocks away on 6th Avenue. You might be surprised by the subway train that runs right below the building, it does rock you a bit. But I slept extremely well there, feeling like I was being rocked to sleep by the train. I actually miss it now that I am home. The bed was really comfortable with a blanket that kept me super warm even on an icy night. There was a strange smell that came up through the vent system, but Gianluca and John are busily working on figuring out why this was happening- it was a new experience and had not happened in the past. There is a short set of stairs to go up- so fairly easy for a New York Village apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment and will most definitely be coming back to my wonderful west village crib in the future!
Spent 3 of the best days we've spent in NYC and this hidden gem had a lot to do with it. I could babble on about how amazing this apartment was but let's just get to the meat of it:
-The location. Walking distance to everything, (amazing food/bev, public trans, etc.)
-the size. Friends of ours are finishing up a masters program in real estate in the city and this place blew they're mind in regards to the value of the rental vs. how much the place would cost to rent monthly.
-the service. Gianluca and john were both extremely helpful and kind in facilitating our stay, and making us feel at home. My wife and I both work in some of the best restaurants/hotels in the country, and they were spot on.
To be honest, anyone who feels this place has a single negative aspect is crazy. Ok, the subway does shake the apt. a little, but YOUR IN NYC! Get over it! Go stay in some super expensive, terribly small hotel room. (I'm a city guy so it put me right to sleep.)
Can't express enough how great this place was. Not only will I stay there again should the opportunity arise, i will remember this being a huge reason as to why we had such an amazing trip. Thank you so very much Barbara, Gianluca, and john.
