This home is in a small, elite condo complex of mostly home-owners, and the 1,000 sq. ft. unit shares only one wall.

From the master bedroom, wake up to truly inspiring views of the Santa Ynez Mountains, the Riviera, and downtown Santa Barbara. The 2nd bedroom is nestled against a quiet hillside of oak trees. The evenings are best spent on the balcony, BBQing your dinner on the stainless steel BBQ, sipping a glass of our local wine, and enjoying the unobstructed vistas and golden sunsets over your left shoulder. Enjoy a bottle of highly esteemed, local Santa Barbara wine, waiting for you upon your arrival! We are in the wine business and happy to share with you!

GREAT LOCATION AND VIEW

This condo worked out great while my sister and I were visiting my daughter and her family in Santa Barbara. The proximity to the downtown area and to the beach was a bonus. We found the condo to be very well stocked and comfortable. Autumn was wonderful to work with before, during, and after our stay. I would definitely rent this condo again in the future!

LOCATION, COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE

I stayed at this condo October 24 to November 1, 2013. My daughter attends UCSB, and my husband and I came to visit for a few days, and then I was there on my own for a week. The location was perfect for me. Every day I found a different way to walk to the beach and various parks in the area. There are grocery stores and restaurants close, and easy access to downtown and to the freeway. The condo was clean and had a very well-stocked kitchen. Beds are comfortable and it was great to have the washer/dryer. I would happily stay here again and Autumn is wonderful to work with and had great recommendations for restaurants, winery tours, and so forth! Thanks for a great stay.

Just the facts: Easy to book, owner was helpful. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. Master bedroom bed was very comfortable but windows faced the street which was noisy. Second bedroom was very quiet but bed was uncomfortable. Showers, sinks, toilets, sheets were clean. But other areas needed attention. Kitchen cabinets were very dirty as were baseboards, some areas on the doors, etc. cobwebs on chandelier, dust. Needs some TLC. Needs new towels. Couch pretty old but comfy. If you have kids and don't want to stress about a "pristine house", it's probably perfect for you! But be careful on the wood stairs!

Owner's Response: Hmm, our first non-perfect review. :( A little dis-heartening with all the time, money, and effort we put into maintaining and cleaning our condo, in addition to making our guests feel welcome...

Well, in response I have to disagree with this tenant's claims about the cleanliness of our condo. Our cleaning lady is VERY thorough and keeps all the areas that are necessary for sanitation/hygiene (i.e., the bathrooms, kitchen, and bedding/towels) extremely clean and cared for. I personally check the condo after each and every cleaning to make sure things remain to my high standards. I see to it that she does take the extra time to tend to the little details like baseboards, dusting light fixtures, ceiling corners, and fans, and cleaning walls, doors, and windows once every month or so... perhaps this tenant stayed just before this was done? Also, please note this tenant stayed at the very end of our extremely busy summer season when we often have tenants checking both in and out on the same day for weeks on end.... So, each Fall we do a thorough "deep cleaning," and we buy new towels and any new kitchen supplies that need to be replaced or upgraded... as well as conduct an inspection on all appliances and lighting. :) This Fall we have a small list of "To Dos"... including a slip cover for the very comfortable (but slightly worn) couch and a new washing machine (ouch!). Also, we just purchased a BRAND NEW, quality queen bed earlier this summer for the 2nd bedroom, and we love it! Sorry to hear it did not meet this tenant's preference. Lastly, we do plan to install heavy light-blocking curtains for the master bedroom this Fall, as we do feel that the bamboo shades we have in there now are pretty, but let in too much light in the mornings (which I really like, but I know some people do not)... This may help further with traffic noise... but I'm surprised this tenant commented on road noise; as we did install double-paned windows to block out the noise from the road, which we feel work very well, unless you're very sensitive to road noise or you're simply used to absolute quiet. Let me clarify; our condo is only near a two-lane, two-way city street; so the noise is not relative to a highway or freeway.

In short; We have stayed in MANY VRBO properties over the years, and have NEVER come across one that is cleaner or better stocked than ours.

WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY AT SANTA BARBARA

Our family stayed at this condo over Memorial Day weekend. We had a wonderful time. The place is very comfortable and clean. The location is great – close to downtown and beaches. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to every inquiry. We also appreciated the restaurant suggestions – just loved the recommended pizza place.
