This fisherman’s cabin is a perfect getaway. Watch the morning river mist dissipate over a cup of coffee as the sun comes up and warms the land. Bring the day to a close with your favorite beverage in hand seated on a bench at the river’s edge (only 30 feet from the deck).

The home features two master bedrooms with queen-size beds and bathrooms. A third bathroom is shared by two more bedrooms; with queen and bunk bed respectively. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and basic spices. Grill your favorite food on the gas grill or, if you don't feel like cooking, there are several restaurants in nearby Gassville & Cotter. Linens and towels provided. WI-FI internet, and free phone calling anywhere in the U.S. Flat screen TV w/ HD satellite service along with Blue Ray DVD player & a DVR system (record your favorite program while out fishing to watch later). Fun for the entire family – Branson is just 1½ hours from the cabin. You will find shows, Zip lining, Silver Dollar City, Branson Landing, and other attractions. Canoeing or kayaking on the Buffalo River or any of the many rivers in the area, ample trails for hiking, caves for spelunking, and a plethora of antique shops.

Located just upriver from Rim Shoals, 400 meters from catch and release area. Fish from the bank, wade, bring or hire boat. We fell in love with the Ozark Mountain/Twin Lakes Region almost two decades ago during a visit to the area. Our career provided the opportunity to live in various locations throughout the world, which helped in our decision to retire in the Ozarks. Small town life along with mountains, forests, lakes, and rivers made this the perfect vacation/retirement location - God's country.

What makes this cabin unique

A secluded get-a-way or fishing retreat. River is 30 feet from cabin's deck. Convenient to grocery store, restaurants, gas stations. Quite neighborhood, nothing across the river but a forest.

This area of the White River, below Bull Shoals Dam, is internationally known for premier trout fishing. Fly fishing is extremely popular - fisherman can fish from the bank, or wade during low water periods. Many anglers’ fish from a flat-bottom 16-20 foot johnboat equipped with a 10-20 hp motor. BYOB - you can bring your own boat or rent a boat/guide locally Debbie at the Cotter Trout Dock will give discount). The Game and Fish Commission stocks hundreds of thousands of trout in the White annually and anglers come here from all corners of the globe. Great lake fishing on Bull Shoals Lake or Lake Norfork. Oh my goodness, from the moment we drove up River Mist took our breathe away!
The view was awesome. The home was perfect for us and our friends. We brought our
19 year olds and they loved it. Two great decks, to sit and watch the river and all the nature.
I was so excited to see the resident eagle. Sooo cool. We went fishing with a guide recommended
By Jimmy and everyone caught fish. I enjoyed quite moments sitting by the river and reading. The house
and the river were just more than we expected. Thank you

Perfect fishing or relaxation getaway!

Perfect location for our spread - out family to convene for a long weekend. We came from Dallas, Allen and Plano, Texas and Broken Arrow , OK. We fished with guides for one day and each boat caught over 50 rainbow trout that we released. We fished on the river's edge on the property and caught fish. We relaxed on the deck and saw eagles soaring down the river and swooping in for fish. The chefs of our family grilled and fried trout on the Char-Griller grill. The house is very well stocked with bowls, cooking utensils, dishes, flat wear, spices, paper products and everything needed to cook a great meal. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer in the house and the Satellite TV with DVR . Thank you Jim and Zaidee for your attention to detail in making this a true home away from home. We would love to come back in Oct 2013, but since you are booked up, we will try for Oct 2014 ( if not sooner) !

Very accurate title...World Class Fishing at Your Doorstep !!!!

After reviewing numerous sights on the internet, we decided on River Mist and are pleased that it was our choice. We spent 3 nights and hated to leave. The property is everything that the owners & other reviewers said and more. It is hard to describe as it was more than we anticipated. Jim and Zaidee have thought of everything one would need for their stay even down to a toothbrush. My wife, mom, oldest son, his wife and our granddaughter came with us. My son and I had fun catching trout which we cooked and ate the first day. The girls went into town to shop while we fished. We also saw an eagle swoop down and catch a trout as well as some deer and squirrels. We also were able to observe the release of trout from the hatchery at the ramp next door to where we were staying. The fall folliage was so picturesque. We are now planning to return next year and spend at least a week. We would like to thank Jim & Zaidee for sharing this vacation rental with us. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away for some peace and tranquility and of course trout fishing!!!

WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY. NOT ONLY IS THE HOME SO VERY CLEAN, THE VIEWS ARE SPECTACULAR!! SECLUDED, YET JUST A FEW MINUTES FROM TOWN. JUST A FEW STEPS TO THE RIVER, SO CONVENIENT AND AMAZING FISHING. THE KITCHEN HAS ALL THE MODERN APPLIANCES AND THE LIVING ROOM HAS VERY COMFORTABLE FURNITURE. THE PICTURES MADE IT SEEM NEAT AND CLEAN, BUT PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THAT IT WAS EVEN MORE SO THAN WHAT THE PICS SHOWED. CAN'T WAIT TO BOOK "RIVER MIST" AGAIN!!
