This is a beautifully renovated Hollywood Bungalow, with all the character you would expect and all of the luxuries that a fine hotel would offer. The pictures provide a glimpse of the comforts that living in the heart of Hollywood can provide. The bungalow is close to the Melrose district; Hollywood and Highland, the Walk of Fame; Runyon Canyon trails; and the historic Farmers Market at The Grove.
The kitchen and patio are an entertainer's dream. Business travelers will find it perfect for a cocktail party to impress their colleagues, while families will enjoy a lazy afternoon barbecue under the shade of the apricot tree. The kitchen has been completely upgraded to include granite counter tops and stainless steal appliances all designed for someone who loves to cook. The home is in an urban area, but on a quiet residential street.
We offer one reserved parking space in the driveway. We also have two parking passes for additional street parking.
A single family home with great outdoor space to soak up the Southern Californian sun! Each bedroom has a comfortable queen bed with just the right support for a restful night. We use high thread count linens for a sumptuous feel. The sofa in the living room folds out to a queen size bed as well.
The property is located blocks from everything you come to Hollywood for: restaurants, shopping, and star gazing. Hollywood is a great base for seeing all of Los Angeles. It's convenient to Downtown Los Angeles, Hancock Park, Larchmont, Melrose, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, the famed Southern California Beaches, Universal Studios and the San Fernando Valley (including Studio City, Toluca Lake, Burbank, Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, North Hollywood, etc.)
This is a dog friendly property.
We are a gay friendly property.
I moved here from the Northwest 13 years ago, in hopes of finding the quintessential Spanish bungalow. I was lucky enough to find one that was originally built by the Hollywood Studios to be used by their actors while filming. Much as the Hollywood Studios intended then, I have spent my time here turning my home into a place to entertain valued friends.
Scott Campbell purchased this house in 1999
Hollywood has a special allure for travelers and residents alike. When I came to California, I wanted to be in the middle of everything. Hollywood was the obvious choice.
My husband, teenage twin daughters, and I very much enjoyed our stay in this bungalow during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was very clean, comfortable, cozy, nicely decorated, had a great outdoor area, and was well stocked with supplies. It's located near all the sights one is interested in seeing when visiting Los Angeles and Hollywood. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Scott was very nice. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks to Scott for the lovely home and more than fair rental rates.
This is my 2nd stay here and it's no wonder. This house is great for a group or a solo trip. Lovely neighborhood just a couple of blocks from Melrose Ave. and a quick drive to Hollywood; El Capitan, Grauman's Chinese theater, great restaurants and shopping. Beautifully updated home with everything you need for an extremely comfortable stay. The back patio is the perfect place for a quiet afternoon or evening after spending the day seeing so many great sights and experiencing Hollywood. I'll be back again!
We had an amazing time in LA and the bungalow was fantastic, the location was close to everything but yet sitting on the patio with the lights on a beer in hand it felt so peaceful and tranquil it was hard to believe you were so close to everything. We often went for food and drinks on Melrose Av as it was walking distance, we also walked to Hollywood Blvd even though it was very hot! We had one car and always parked in the assign space by the garage and never had any issues. It has been 6 months since our stay (a little late in posting a review I know) and we are still missing living there it really was a home from home (with MUCH nicer weather than the UK).....if only we could elope.
Thank you to Scott for adding to our amazing stay in west coast USA - hopefully we'll be back!!
We had a lovely, most comfortable & relaxing week at this Poinsettia, relaxing & airy house! It was a haven & home straight away! With very comfortable beds including the best feather bedding like home & a great kitchen to cook in each day with everything you need. It was a home away from home for us & the courtyard including the sound of the water fountain made it a very peaceful place to be in the day & night! We really enjoyed our glasses of wine under the tree lights at night. I Loved the cozy reading nook & the Great! choice of books from my favourite bookstore. The park around the corner was great for my grandson & I met many people in the neighbourhood. I certainly would book again for my LA visits. Scott was very friendly & looked after our needs extremely well, even after we left delivering some books to us we had left behind! Thanks again Scott for making our stay a lovely memory & for providing the peaceful, homely environment we needed. I'll certainly be back again!
we had a fantastic end to our touring holiday of California with our stay in the Hollywood Studio Bungalows, Scott was very friendly and helpful, the bugalow was exceptional, we especially loved the garden patio enjoying time relaxing after a busy day, glass of wine in hand appreciating the tranquility ! the bungalow is well situated for exploring everything LA has to offer and should we be lucky enough to return we will certain stop here again, would reccomend to anyone.
We were extremely pleased with the Property. It was very close to everything but we still used the car because of the time factor. Warning: Be really careful and heed the parking signs, we got a parking tickets for 5 minutes past the designated time.
The Property had everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay there again!!
Scott was truly wonderful, he answered all of our questions timely.
Our only complaints were that neither the fountain nor the heaters on the patio worked and it really need a TV in, at least, one of the bedrooms for multiple people.
Our vacation rental is in the Melrose Ave area on the Hollywood / West Hollywood border. We're halfway between Melrose Ave and Santa Monica Blvd. Trader Joe's to the north, voluminous shopping and restaurants to the south. We're in a great walking neighborhood as well as driving close to all of the famous and infamous spots in Hollywood, West Hollywood, and the greater Los Angeles area.
Close to Bob Hope International Airport (Burbank) and LAX.
