I am a retired, well travelled nurse, my husband, born in Germany still runs his Music studio and store. We are long term residents of Victoria, (my mother was born one block from our house). We have been married 40 years. We enjoy the wonderful amenities Victoria has to offer on a regular basis. We truly love animals and welcome your pets. We have a one legged Seagull we have named Heathcliff which we nursed back to health after finding him near death on the beach down the road. He is has adopted us and spends a lot fo time perched on our roof or sitting on the rock to sun himself.

Patricia Hergt purchased this house in 2000

We loved the ambience of this historical neighborhood, as well the nearness to the city, transportation and walks.

We found letters and postcards from 1907 when we renovated. A sense of history prevails in the house. My mother was born two blocks away in 1912.

The wonderfully warm weather allows one to use the wrap around deck and veranda for six months a year. The sense of history prevails in the house. Great location; close to town and waterfront, tourist attractions, recreation center, shopping, medical clinic.

I've rented thru VRBO.com all over the world, and I have to say this is one of my favourite rentals. The location is ideal - about a block from a plaza with groceries, liquor store, specialty stores. A block past that, and you're on the waterfront - Galloping Goose trail in one direction, Gorge Waterway walking trail in the other direction.

The suite itself is delightful. Warm & welcoming, bright & spacious. VERY well-equipped. I did a full Thanksgiving dinner here for my family, and didn't find myself short of anything! I love the full formal dining room - it added to our comfort & enjoyment of our turkey dinner!

Pat & Karl, owners, are friendly & helpful - I thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with them. Also, being able to bring my Suki (my West Highland terrier) with me on my visit to Victoria just added to my enjoyment. Suki had the doggy door figured out within about 5 minutes! A fully-fenced yard for her to roam in was an added bonus.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this suite, and in fact, I've already booked for 2 more visits! If I have my way, this will be the only rental I use when visiting Victoria.

This apartment is clean, bright, interesting and exceptionally well located. Just a few blocks from both inner harbour and outer harbour. Bike rentals and access to Galloping Goose trail are nearby (recommended). Groceries, bank etc all within a couple of blocks. The owners are conscientious hosts, very friendly and knowledgable about Victoria. No surprises with apartment - exactly as shown in listing and photos. We stayed at this apartment for a month and were sorry to leave!

Thank you for a wonderful stay! My husband and I stayed at this beautiful character home, with our dog, and just loved the place.

The house is exactly as described. Quiet, good location, less than 5 min drive or 20 min walk to downtown. Close to sea walk. Very clean with a fully stocked kitchen. The big soaker tub and wrap-around verandah were lovely!

I lived in Victoria for years and know the area and hotels well. The price/value at this house is unbeatable...and pet friendly is a bonus! I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

My mother and I and our three dogs had an amazing stay at this beautiful suite by the sea! The suite was an absolute feast for our eyes! It boasted lovely views, it was decorated with art work and antiques everywhere we looked - it was simply gorgeous! All that and pet friendly and more affordable than the average hotel. I most definitely recommend this accommodation for anyone visiting Victoria and I will absolutely return myself!

Nice Family Retreat

My husband, child and myself were very comfortable in this beautiful place just on the skirts of the city. We loved the quaintness of this place and the personal touches. Because we came with a toddler, the owners helped us to make the experience even easier by providing us with ammenities we would need to make the stay easier. I would suggest this place for the couple, small family or single person. We plan to visit again next year, and hope the owners will still be with VRBO.
