Muskegon House Rental Photos and Description
3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 9
I knew Bluffton had a charm all its own. It is nestled between the bluffs of Lake Michigan and the shores of Muskegon Lake. During the vaudeville era is was the summer resort area for Buster Keaton and other vaudeville luminaries. Hence, the name ?Actors Colony? originated and is used to this day. There is evidence of street car rails on Thompson Street adjacent to Cherry Street. The homes are all different; to say, older, remodeled and with much character. I purchased this property in 1999 and used it for a monthly rental several years. However, at some point, I realized it could be a great weekly vacation property. I had a desire to improve it and develop its potential. I have had fun decorating and creating an environment where people will enjoy themselves and want to return.
The back yard has a large fire pit and fire wood is provided free of charge. Laundry soap is provided. 2 10-speed bikes are available and one 'old fashion' bike with a basket is available. The home is so warm and cozy. At night you can hear the waves on Lake Michigan. Beautiful neighborhood.
Activities : Many festivals in Muskegon throughout the year. USS Silversides Museum at Pere Marquette beach; swimming in the clean, lovely waters of Lake Michigan; boating of all sorts; golfing at many local courses.

About Linda Wood
Hello—I’m Linda Wood. I grew up in Muskegon and have worked in the real estate business for over 30-years. Remodeling and managing have been my primary talents. The two Cherry House properties are my only weekly rentals. It has been a great deal of fun for all of us involved in the preparation and maintenance of this unique and marvelous property.

Why Linda Wood chose Muskegon
I had managed this property and knew the area. I realized it would make a perfect vacation property since it is so close to Lake Michigan.
What makes this house unique
Historic - Summer home of Buster Keaton and other vaudeville notables - walk to Lake Michigan, Pere Marquette Beach - largest public beach on Lake Michigan - absolutely beautiful sunsets - only deep water port on Lake Michigan - observe large boats and sailing vessels entering Muskegon Lake - Great Fun
