Privacy from the road front, with no neighbors behind you, offering a bit of unique,quiet seclusion.

Popular East-end location offers a unique stretch of beach with many private homes/owners, creating a quieter, more private beach experience, and only one mile from the beautiful State Park. Bike paths alongside the road covering the entire island!

Many locals & guests refer to our location as the best stretch of beach & homes on the island, offering expansive views, beautiful sunrises & sunsets, and quiet, uncrowded beaches. Due to the many homes that are nearby that are privately owned, the beaches are quieter and feel a bit more 'private' than in other areas of the island where the lots are smaller, and the lots are only 50'wide, vs. 100 feet (ours), providing your family or friends with more space on the beach.

About Jamie Polous

I am from a family of 6 children, raised in Albany, GA, and graduated from the University of Georgia's Business School in 1979. We enjoyed living and operating a publishing business in Athens (in our 33rd year).

I became restless and was driven to move near the sea and the stars, slow down, and enjoy the peace & tranquility of this special space. It was one of the best moves for me personally. I love the island life, slow-friendly-active, water everywhere, spectacular fishing, swimming, kayaking, shelling, waking the beaches, enjoying the sunrises and sunsets, and star gazing!

We are active, enjoying meeting new people and friends alike, love the outdoors, excursions, reading, having friends over for dinner or a bonfire, and spending time caring for and enjoying our spoiled rescue dog, Cleo

I enjoy providing Blue Heaven to special guests who have enjoyed our home and in order to create special memories of their own!

I love living on the island, and rise to the sunrises in the morning strolling the beach. I enjoy walking the beach and collecting items that don't belong there (litter, generally washed in from the sea), sea shells to place on the decks, watch the sea gulls and blue herons and dolphins swimming close to shore. I love to play and swim in the sea, enjoy kayaking, roller skating, COOKING!, spending time with friends, good music & books, and movies.

It is really important to me to get to know you so I can help to ensure that you have what you need to create the experience you dream of while relaxing during your vacation. We don't vacation enough, so it has to be right, when you arrive.

I am available to you during your stay 24/7. I have a local property manager/friend, who takes care of many properties (but not too many), so there is a local contact person who responds quickly to any issues or questions.

WOW! The east end offers one of the best locations on the island.

Large once acre lot with no homes behind us, andonlythe sea in front.Fewer people, expansive beaches, great views, offering solitude for the soul, and a marvelous place to create memories, heal the spirit, and meet new people on similar journeys in their own lives.

Unlike many areas of the island, the lots in this area are 100 feet wide, which provide for a more private-feel, with less people roaming the beaches, and the opportunity to walk only one mile east, and into the state park for many many miles. There is a private lot behind Blue Heaven, providing an extra sense of privacy from the road. Many of the homes to the east and west are held by private owners, and do not offer rental opportunities, thereby creating a much quieter & more private beachfront

experience. The bike/walking paths are right our front, and run east and west in both directions. It is wonderful place to enjoy!

I have received many complements regarding the comfort of working directly with the owner(that would be me) and my daughter Jen, and Ken (the local property manager) rather than large property management firms to solve and resolve any issues or needs our guests may have.

We are responsive and work hard to ensure the property is clean, fully stocked, and ready for you & yours to relax, laugh, engage and make memories for a lifetime.

I wanted to let you know how thoroughly we enjoyed your beautiful home last week. It was everything we needed and much more. Even on the rainy days we enjoyed snuggling up and watching the Olympics and sitting on the deck. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was beautifully equipped, and the house was ideally located.

Ken was very helpful and we loved listening to his British accent! We really appreciated him bringing the toaster, and for him to bring it during the storm was gallant.

Thank you for allowing us to spend our vacation in your home, and we would love to have the honor of renting from you in the future. We also saw how large and beautiful the Whaley House was. Although we didn't go inside obviously, we could only imagine how wonderful it would be to have a large family gathering perhaps using both houses. I will highly recommend both houses to all of my friends and family. Thank you again for being so gracious.

We have stayed in St. George several times over the years and this stay has been by far the best. The house was great and had the feel of a "home". It had everything that you would possibly need. We have just arrived back home after an amazing week's stay at Blue Heaven. This home is absolutely beautiful! It is extremely open and very spacious. I am in love with the floor plan! The wrap around decks are awesome and the view is breathtaking!...right on the water! The beach is so clean and the water is so clear. It makes swimming so enjoyable. The area is quiet and very peaceful. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy family! I truly did not want to leave! It really feels like HOME! It was the PERFECT vacation!

Stunning home and beach

Our family ( three kids ages nine and 5) stayed with another family with similarly aged children in this wonderful home. So we were a total of ten people and were very comfortable.Our time there was exceptional. This house is to die for! It was so open and airy, and we literally just went down the stairs each morning right onto the beach. The view is spectacular as is the condition of the beach. This home is set up for those who love to cook and we fully used the fish coolers for grouper and oysters- Laurie is wonderful and went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. I cannot say enough about our stay in this beautiful home- I just wish we were there right now!

Always the BEST!!

My husband and I and another couple were so happy to be able to come BACK to BlueHeaven! It is such a terrific, and unique home to spend a vacation in! Not only is it the very best spot on the beach, (resident owners on either side, so very peaceful) but it has an elevator for the groceries, and me! While everything is clean and tidy, it still feels like a home, not a really big hotel room! Did I mention the Hammock? Last year I tied a piece of yarn to a nail on the near wall, so I could "swing myself", and this year it was still there for me, faded, but usable. I hope others have noticed it and used it! Laurie is a terrific owner, and Ken, her prop/manager is there in a flash, with ladder in tow, if you need a ceiling bulb replaced! Laurie has a really well stocked kitchen with every appliance you could hope for, and there's a water filter for great tasting iced tea! We love this house, and will rent it as often as we possibly can.

A great find on the Forgotten Coast,

Blue Heaven is a great place to go if you are truly looking to get away from it all. We came down over Spring Break with another family (4 adults, 5 kids total) and had a ball. We lucked out on the weather, it was warm and sunny.

The home is very well appointed and in really good shape. Laurie and her people were very accomodating when we had requests and the home has the latest technology amenities, big screen televisions and Sirius satellite radio for indoor/outdoor music. The views are terrific. It was often 10am before we got up and rolling, so it was a great beachy time. Loved playing cornhole on the beach!

All around a great experience. My kids were very wistful upon leaving, which tells you all you need to know.

Rent Sea-Doos from Dave at the Blue Parrot; Eastpoint, the rural community across the bay from the island, has seafood houses offering all the local fish & oysters, caught fresh the same day. The extra large Green Egg cooker/smoker on the deck is bound to offer fabulous dinner options! Local oysters from our bays are world famous, and are undoubtedly the best available. Buy a bushel, ice them down in the ice chest provided, set it down on the front porch, and eat your heart out! As an alternative, there are fabulous restaurants on the island & in Apalachicola
