Our comfortable and well-equipped holiday home is situated in the North of the Republic of Ireland surrounded by a large number of lakes (Irish people say it’s exactly 365 lakes, each for every day of the year), with many possibilities for fishing and swimming. Further possibilities are cycling, golf, walking tours, horse riding or just relaxing. Or combine your stay in our house with a houseboat tour on the river Erne and river Shannon. The marina with boat rental is next to our house just 3 mls away in the village of Belturbet.

Our house is situated in a quiet countryside just 1 mile from the small village Milltown (1 pub, 1 shop).The next, bigger village is Belturbet, 3 miles away. There you find all commerce, shops, supermarket, pharmacy, post office, bank, a lot of pubs and restaurants, dry-cleaning and so on. There are bus connections to Cavan and to Dublin. The county capital Cavan is less than 20 minutes away and offers all kind of stores, supermarkets, discount-shops (Lidl).

Notes: The room with two single beds is a small but nice room for children with one bed over the other bed. Living-room and dining-room are fitted with traditional fire-places. You will find fire-wood in the shed.

Do Walking in the nearby forest park or on the walkway round the golf court in Belturbet, return to your comfortable holiday home, have a cup of tea. What more do you need?

Fishing: There are a lot of lakes all around our location. We can tell you, where to find good places for fishing. You can buy a fishing tackle in Belturbet or in Killeshandra (about 14 km).

Golf: There are many golf courts in the surrounding. The next one is in Belturbet or at the Slieve Russel Hotel in Ballyconell.

'Wir möchten uns für eine erholsame Woche in Ihrem Hause bedanken. Patricia hat sich toll um uns gekümmert, das Haus ist toll eingerichtet und wir können es uneingeschränkt empfehlen' (Fam. Thomas Rose aus Rösrath) ' Wir wollten Ihnen sagen, wie gut es uns in Ihrem Haus gefallen hat. Es sah ja schon auf den Bildern sehr gemütlich aus, aber die Wirklichkeit war noch viel besser. Recht oft haben wir den Kamin im Esszimmer beim Essen und Spielen angezünget und die Kinder haben begeistert den Basketballkorb genutzt'... (Christine Lehmann aus Frankfurt)

Nach einem turbulenten ersten Halbjahr 2009 war das genau der Ort, der für die Erholung gebraucht wurde. Sehr gemütlich eingerichtetes Haus in sehr ruhiger Lage! Die Pubs in Belturbet konnten die Erholung mit leckerem Guinness und gutem Essen unterstützen. Danke für einmal Kraftauftanken!

Ausspannen in Irland

Wir, 4 dem Altagsstress entflohene, haben sehr schöne Tage in Uragh-House verbracht. Die absolute Ruhe (vom Rauschen des Windes in den Bäumen einmal abgesehen) hat jedem von uns sehr gefallen. Im Haus haben wir uns von der ersten Sekunde an sehr wohlgefühlt. Es passte alles. Bis hin zum Holzhacken, grillen und "sonnenbaden" in der schönen Mai-Nachmittagssonne auf den Liegestühlen. Die Gegend war auch für uns Nicht-Angler sehr interessant. Dank der Hilfe von Patricia fanden wir alles, auch den vo ihr geführten Supermarkt in Belturbet, in dem man echt alles findet, was man braucht. Wenn es unsere Zeit erlaubt hätte, wären wir gerne noch geblieben (um auch mal irischen Regen zu erleben...)

wo auch beim typisch irischen Regenwetter ein schöner Urlaub
