Great house and location

This was my third winter rental in N Scottsdale and best experience so far. My stay this time was for two and a half months during the peak season.
Arizona is the best place to be in the winter, I think. I love Scottsdale for all it has to offer: shopping, restaurants, art shows, hiking, or just sight seeing in nearby towns like Carefree, Cave Creek or even driving a few hours to Sedona. There is also a great non-denominational church we attend with a terrific band - honestly you think you are at a concert - It is only 5 minutes from the house.
Maestros, the steak house everyone likes, is located only minutes down the road, as is Starbucks and AJ's fine foods to pick up your groceries. There is also a great pet spa in that same shopping center where you can drop your dog off for grooming, which I did, WITHOUT an appointment and I have a Newfoundland, a giant breed with a double, long haired coat!
I also joined the nearby health club in DC Ranch for working out, swimming in their fabulous outdoor pools or getting a massage in their spa. This is only about 15 minutes off Pima, construction traffic permitting. The Desert Gateway access to open space for hiking, biking, etc. is right next door to the health club. They have a 4 mile loop up over the mountain that offers some challenge, but beautiful views and is well worth doing.
The layout of the house with the MBR on the second floor with a huge deck overlooking the pool was nice especially when you wanted some quiet time to read or relax by yourself. I breezed through several novels up there reading on my kindle with my reading/sun glasses.
The other bedrooms are on the first floor. The "great room" contains the kitchen, living area and dining. Glass doors line the back of the first floor which opens to the outside so you have outdoor living. Loved this when the weather was warm.
I also appreciated the fact that this house is dog friendly with a large enough yard for a big dog. It is all fenced in too. The homeowners were wonderful to deal with. Friendly and accommodating, they responded quickly and cheerfully to all requests.
I love Arizona and will definitely return.
