We had an amazing vacation in this condo, and the owner was a pleasure to work with. Unit was very comfortable and spacious (2 1/2 baths) and the view was amazing!! The kitchen was well stocked and had a great coffee pot & blender. This unit is one of the best placed within this complex in my opinion. We had fairly good weather (a little windy and cool the first few days) but it did not rain and was sunny and nice for the most part. We are Texans and so if the temperature dips below 80 degrees on the beach, we freeze, but we are wimps! :)
Everyone at the condo office was kind, warm, and helpful. They give you a cell phone for your use and they are also very nice to make reservations at restaurants if you want them to do that for you. We loved the fact that we had housekeeping daily. That is kind of rare in villa/condo rentals in the USVI or BVI where we usually vacation. The housekeepers were very friendly and did a wonderful job. Jerome on the beach was also a pleasure! He set up our chairs daily and was very kind and friendly. He can also book day trips for snorkeling or whatever you want to do.
The water is some of the most beautiful if not the most beautiful we have ever seen in the Caribbean. I am not even sure if Anguilla can match it!! We loved seeing Chalk Sound, Taylor Bay, and Sapodilla Bay. We also enjoyed a trip to North and Middle Caicos, but still think Grace Bay Beach is it!! We will definitely return. We loved the people and island in general.
We did have sticker shock in the grocery stores....that was actually kind of funny and we budgeted fairly well for the most part. I did not think restaurant prices were any worse than any other island in general. They were very comparable with Grand Cayman, St. Martin, St. John, etc. We also had some wonderful meals. Our best meal, though, came from some fishermen who drove into Taylor Bay via boat the day we were there. We bought four huge lobsters and cooked in. What fun!!
The restaurant "Somewhere" is located on site at the condos and had good fish tacos and good nightly entertainment. This condo is also conventiently located on Bight reef so snorkeling is at your front door literally. You can spend a lot more to stay on Grace Bay, but I do not think that is really necessary when you can stay in a unit like this. Save your money & enjoy the nice restaurants! We will be back and had a great time!!!!
