VENICE BEACH STUNNER - ONE BLOCK FROM BEACH!

After a couple of weeks travelling around the US with two small children, 'The Stunner' was a great place to take some time out just to stretch out and relax for a few days.
> A very clean, modern home with all the facilities that you need for a day or a week or more but what we really appreciated most was that this a 'real home' that has been thoughtfully designed and set up for relaxed family living
> A great location right at the intersection of Venice, Santa Monica and Abbot Kinney as well as only a block from the beach and some very good cafes and restaurants
> Very well organised and trouble fee booking and arrival management - it seems that nothing is too much trouble for Jennifer if it can help to make your stay more enjoyable and trouble free

I must admit that, coming from overseas, booking a rental like this online was a bit of a stab in the dark, but The Stunner lived up to our expectations and more. Thanks Jennifer.

We frequently rent vacation homes when we travel, and this one was absolutely one of the best!

The photos are great, but the house was actually more beautiful "in person." The house was immaculate and well-stocked with every gourmet utensil and appliance you can imagine. I was impressed by the owner's personal touches - the toys for children, the lovely arrangements of flowers and special sopas, the fully-furnished outside patio and the very cool coffee-table books. Stylish and comfortable.

The location was perfect for our children, who rode bikes everywhere, took surfing lessons a few blocks away in Santa Monica and enjoyed easy access to the basketball and skateboarding parks. I enjoyed the unique boutiques on Main Street, one block from our house, and our au pair - who is 21 - loved the night life in Venice Beach. We all enjoyed the 3rd Street Promenade (eat at Misfits!) and had a great night at the Santa Monica Pier.

In addition, the owner was very responsive to any questions we had, and provided a book of restaurant and "to do" recommendations.

The owner, Jennifer, saved the day when another VRBO owner "changed his mind" and decided to stay at the residence we had originally leased. Our son was getting married in Malibu and we found ourselves without adequate accomodations. All things happen for a reason and Jennifer's home was perfect. It is well appointed (huge great room and enclosed patio are much larger than they appear in the photos) and the location can't be beat (a block from the beach and Main Street with many restaurants, shops and services is just around the corner). My husband and I stayed along with my sister and her husband for one week and hated to leave. Many of the out-of-town guests stayed in Santa Monica and it was just a short jaunt back and forth. The great room and patio were perfect for a 4th of July cook-out, wedding rehearsal and casual dinners. James, the property manager, met us upon arrival and was extremely responsive to any of our questions/requests. I would highly recommend this residence to anyone seeking comfortable, well located, accomodations with plenty of room for entertainment. Thank you to both Jennifer and James, we couldn't have been more pleased!
