THE BEST BET IN AMAGANSETT!

I spent two weeks at the house this past summer. It is just simply the best! If you like contemporary homes without clutter and cool/mod furniture and art, this is the place for you. First of all, it is a short, direct walk to the beach. (A ten minute walk, four minute bike ride and one minute drive!) The land is also gorgeous, an acre of privacy on a very quiet street south of the highway just off of Bluff Road.... If you have kids, it could not be more perfect. There is an outdoor ping pong table and tether ball. Inside, the enitre wall of the basement is a chalkbaord for the kids to draw on. In addition, all the beds are very comfortable and there is one bathroom per bedroom. The owners are incredibly responsive with questions and if there are any problems. There was a clog in one bathroom sink and the owner had it fixed within two hours of us notifying them. There are also two wonderful outdoor decks, one with a view of the water on a clear day. Finally, we coudl hear the ocean on those hot summer nights. The outdoor shower got a ton of use.
Finally, and most importantly, this is really like a true home, not just another off the rack summer Hamptons rental. The furntirue is all high quality deisgner or antigue pieces.... no Pier One crap as I have had in other rentals I have done in the Hamptons. The owners obviously put a lot of thought and contiued care into their home. My many guests throughout the summer truly loved it.
