Townhome, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Beautiful 3 story townhome on Lutsen Mountain. Sleeps 8 with ease. Walk out the front door to the ski slope. ski all day then relax in the sauna (yes, your own private sauna right in the townhome) and finish the evening in front of the wood burning fireplace. Then do it all over again!

Our townhome feels like home, but also includes resort amenities. Pools (indoor and outdoor), hot tub, sauna, restaurant and bar, exercise and spa facilities. It’s all there for you to use.

Winter activities: downhill skiing out the front door, 200 miles of awesome groomed cross country trails in the area (trailhead as close as ¼ mile), 200+ miles of snow mobile trails, horse drawn sleigh rides, dog sledding, snow shoeing. It’s a winter paradise!

Summer activities: best hiking in the Midwest with access to the 277 mile Superior Hiking Trail within walking distance, mountain biking, cycling on the Gitchi-Gami Trail, trout fishing, Alpine Slide, shopping in Grand Marais, BWCA access 20 miles away, Cascade River and Temperance River State Parks are 10 minutes away. This really is a year round destination!

About The Owner

We are a typical Minnesota raised, outdoors loving family of five. We are focused on the simple pleasures - spending quality time together doing the activities we love and making memories the kids will cherish throughout their lives.

The Owner purchased this townhome in 2009
Why The Owner chose Lutsen

Our kids are all school aged, and we invested in Lutsen in order to have a place to call our own that the kids would enjoy. And it turns out we were right, because they can’t get enough of this area, with all the exciting activities and beautiful scenery. There is always something to do here, 12 months a year. And they always want to bring their friends.

What makes this townhome unique

It’s a great place to make memories! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We had a great time, many activities in the local area, alpine slide, golf courses,hiking trails, sailing. Also many activities at the resort, pool, volleyball, free bike rental, free canoe trip, ping pong tables, hot tub, free movie check out.
Very clean and comfortable townhouse.
Caribou Highlands staff were very friendly and helpful

Wonderful family friendly resort/vacation area

This was a wonderful family friendly resort with lots of activities for the kids, including nightly s'mores, movie night, free guided canoe tour, and kids camp so we could have some adult time. The alpine slide is located a short walk from the resort, and there are numerous hiking trails too. The unit was just as pictured and was very comfortable.

We had a great time and the owner's suggestions of activities were a big hit! There are so many activities to do in the area.

One experience we want to comment on: we went to use the grill for the first time and noticed a hissing sound coming from the propane tank. We looked and noticed a crack on the black connector piece to the tank. We called the front desk and they had maintenance out there within 10 minutes to fix the problem so we could cook our dinner! What excellent service! We were very impressed with their prompt attention and ability to fix it.

Would highly recommend for families looking for a nice vacation.

Three of us couples had a very comfortable stay. The place was very clean and it was very convenient to get to the chair lift. Caribou Highlands staff were very friendly and helpful to resolve any housekeeping needs.

Perfect weekend in a great townhome at Lutsen!

Clean and comfortable townhome. Well furnished with all of our kitchen needs and it even had books and games. Conveniently located to skiing - just walk around the back of the townhouse and you are connected to the trails! The fireplace was perfect after a day of skiing and they even supplied firewood. The unit slept 7 of us comfortably. There was a sauna that looked great, but we didn't get a chance to use. We had a perfect weekend and are planning to rent again next year!

Great view, grilling and fun at Lutsen

This is a very comfortable and handy location for your ski base. Ski in and out, grill your lunch out on the deck, and then back out to the slopes. Hot tub building is close by for end of day soak.

Liked the large ski locker to stow our ski gear.

Make sure you purchase multi day lift tickets on line in advance to get a better deal.
