About Lorna Mason

My husband and I purchased the property for an annual visit of 2 weeks early on. When we retired, we spent 6 months of the year in Ekahi. He and several other Ekahi owners became involved with the county politics and were able to insure Ekahi's best interests. After he passed, I spend less time, but enjoy it with family and snowbird friends of many years.

Why Lorna Mason chose Wailea

Ekahi is one of the few properties in the Islands that have the lower buildings per acre. The buildings are sited so there is a feeling of privacy . Our building is just 30 giant steps from a satellite pool and just minutes stroll down the greenbelt to the main pool and ocean. The pavilion is tiled and roofed with few walls so you can get out of the sun for a bit to read and have lunch.

What makes this condo unique

We stayed in the condo for 6 months a year for quite a few years and enjoyed entertaining, so the kitchen is fully furnished. The BEST is the Murphy bed (queen size) that is so easy to pull down. In the morning, just tug the sheets up and return it to it's cabinetry with a lift of a finger.....so neat.

Wonderful Home Base for Trip to Maui

We rented this condo for one week and it was perfect for us. We were traveling with our two year old, and it was big enough to give him space to play while we rested. Overall, the condo is clean and well-maintained. During our stay, the kitchen i stocked with a few pantry items, like sugar, salt. flour, as well as paper towels, which was a very nice touch.

The condo is really close to the beach - one of the best beaches we found, and we explored quite a few, only to determine that we really liked this one the best. Just a short walk through the beautiful grounds. The main pool is nice and big, but there were also a number of smaller pools throughout, which were quieter and less crowded, so our son had a wonderful time playing in those.

Parking was easy, and we never had trouble finding a spot right out front.

Overall, we had a lovely time, and would definitely consider renting this unit again when we come back to Maui!

Wonderful stay at a bright, clean, spacious condo close to water... and super nice owner

This was one of the condos in the Ekahi Village that I booked for family to stay in when my husband and I got married in Maui. It is clean with high ceilings and large windows. Having natural light is very important to me... especially when on a tropical island! It was perfect for my parents to stay in the bedroom and my grandmother to use the Murphy bed in the living room. I needed a real bed (not a pull out couch thin mattress) for my grandmother. The accommodations are clean, which is also very important to me and a deal breaker for my parents, and very well priced for what you get particularly in Wailea. It is a short walk to the water and the grounds are lush and green with little play areas, good for kids.

The owner is so nice. She knew we were in Maui to get married. When we decided to stay one extra night in Hawaii but needed to leave our resort and find another place I called her to see if I could stay just one night. Since my parents had left she said yes and gifted a night's stay to us as a wedding present!!

I hesitate to say that in case others would expect the same from her but it is an example of the personal approach that she has with her clients. If I were to stay in Wailea again I would definitely contact Lorna.

The condo is airy, bright & clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen! Love the fact that there were spices & sugar there for our use. We even left some additional spices for the next guests! There are 2 decks that are very comfortable. We had our 2 boys stay out on Murphy bed which is super comfy. Love the fact we had 2 full baths too.
The grounds of the complex were nicely kept & loved at night the smell of all the flowers.
The numerous pools were a nice touch. We mostly spent our time on the beach.great spot for paddle boarding & snorkeling. There is a reef that you can find some great fish & turtles. Our boys also fished from the beach & caught some amazing fish!
Love this part of Maui & will come back!
Check-in was a breeze with the key box there on the door. Lorna was great to work with! Would highly recommend this condo to anyone!

Comfort while in Paradise

We truly enjoyed our stay in this condo. The Ekahi Village is located right next to the ocean and the grounds are teeming with vegetation and beautiful flowers, which adds to the spectacular view of the gardens from the condo. From the condo, it is a pleasant three or four minute walk down a grassy hill to the beautiful Keawakapu beach. From there, you can walk the 3/4 mile-long beach or head the other way and enjoy the lush grounds and beachfront scenery while strolling past elaborate resort hotels. As you enjoy your surroundings, you can stop for coffee or a bite to eat at one of several places along the way, all of which have ocean views.
The condo itself is beautiful, with updated features and elegant touches throughout. In addition, all of the extras are provided, including small appliances, beach necessities, and other supplies. We were treated to the daily antics of a pair of cute birds that were nesting in the rafters above the lanai. We felt right at home in this comfortable condo! As an added bonus, the owner of the condo, Lorna, was pleasantly responsive to our questions and provided us with a local contact who answered all of our questions about the island, the Village, and the condo.
We highly recommend this condo to anyone visiting Paradise!

The amenities are very useful and are suitable for two persons
A kettle would be an added request to make tea, etc.
We did enjoy the area and found the entry to the lower pool area by driving to the public parking lot and using the pool key for entry.
We will consider this property again.

Absolutely Adored this Condo!

This has been by far the best condo I have ever booked off of VRBO. The owner Lorna, for starters, was super friendly and made booking the place a breeze. Her condo was super clean and well stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need (even had a wine corker and handheld bathroom mirror!). Having the washer and dryer in the condo was an extra plus (there was even detergent by it, even though we had bought our own).
The furniture was also super comfy and the location of the condo was really quiet. This place just can't be beat. The last time we came to Maui, we stayed for two weeks at the Four Seasons down the road. We loved the Four Seasons (which is high class hotel), and we loved this place too (that should tell you about the quality you will get if you choose to stay here).
