House, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths (Sleeps 8)

After renting vacation homes for many years, we made sure that no detail was spared when we outfitted our home. Just off the entrance foyer is our huge living room with a wood burning fireplace. The furniture is contemporary faux suede with luxurious pillows, an Irish wool throw, and plenty of lamps and artwork. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and stocked for the gourmet chef. Since we own a restaurant equipment company, we chose the best cookware, dishes, cutlery and utensils for our kitchen. The natural hickory cabinets have pull out shelving and granite counter tops. All appliances are stainless steel and made by Bosch, Kitchen Aid and Whirlpool. If you like to cook, you will LOVE our kitchen! Not only do we have a programmable coffee maker, a large waffle iron, crock pot, toaster and mixer.

The sitting area of the kitchen features a leather love seat, 2 leather recliners, and a 40' Sony LCD television and DVD player. You'll be able to be a part of your family's fun without being stuck all alone in the kitchen. The deck is furnished with 2 rockers and a cushioned love seat and chair. We also furnished the deck with a large gas grill for the barbecue chef. The large dining room has seating for 6 at the glass table. We have lots of dishes and serving pieces for your family to use. The laundry room is also located on the main floor.

Our bedrooms are beautifully furnished, and our beds have either euro top or pillow top bedding, organic cotton linens with 700 thread count or higher, and both feather and foam pillows. On the main level, the king bedroom has a 32' TV with DVD player, and the queen bedroom has a 26' TV. There is an additional twin bedroom on the main floor. The main level has 2 full baths with both tub/shower combos. All three bathrooms in the house have hair dryers. The lower level features a large game room with a pool table, 26' TV, books and games. There is an additional bedroom two twin beds, and a 3rd bathroom in the hallway.

This desirable location is convenient to everything you want to see or do in Asheville. The Biltmore Estate, America's largest private home, is only 5 miles away. Grove Park Inn is 2.4 miles away. The Country Club of Asheville is 1.8 miles away. Homewood is 2.4 miles away. Downtown Asheville with its many art galleries, shops and award winning restaurants is only 4 miles away, and the Blue Ridge Parkway is just 7 miles away. This home is within walking distance of beautiful Beaver Lake and kayak rentals are available. Hiking, white water rafting, golf, tennis, and shopping are just a few miles away. Notes: The kitchen is not only beautiful, it is so functional for the gourmet chef (or the not-so-gourmet, for that matter.) We have plenty of everything you need to make that great meal. There is also a supply of dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, granite cleaner, bathroom cleaner, paper towels and garbage bags. The sink also has a garbage disposal for soft foods. The gas grill is top of the line. It's oversized with a simmer burner and all the cooking utensils and grill brush are provided. We even have aluminum foil and non-stick spray for you. Our DVD library contains many movies for you. We have everything from dramas, comedies, and suspense to children's animated videos. Our music library is versatile! Our tastes are classic rock, jazz, classical, country, and dance. Is there anything we left out? There is ample parking for four vehicles in the driveway. Imagine a real wood fire, with the smells and sounds on a crisp fall or winter day.

The home was clean, tastefully done and fit our needs. The location in Asheville was perfect in its proximity to my daughter. The three bedrooms on the main floor were very nice, particularly the master and bedroom with queen bed. If your group has more than six, the basement bedroom is less desirable but still functional. Friendly neighbor across the street introduced himself and offered his assistance if needed. We would definitely consider renting the home again.

Great Place to Stay in Asheville

We used this house for my family to stay when I got married in May. The house was clean and very spacious. There was always a spot for everyone, be it in the living room (we did our hair and make-up there), the dining room (flower arranging), the basement or the family room. The bedrooms on the main floor were fantastic--the beds were comfortable and every room was well-decorated. There was plenty of parking and the house was easy to find. The owner, Lynn, was very accommodating and even let us check in early! It was easy to pay with PayPal and Lynn always responded quickly to my emails. The only area of concern was the bedroom in the basement which was a bit musty and bothered the guests sleeping there. Other than that, I would highly recommend this house to anyone staying in Asheville who needs a lot of room in an affordable house close to the city. Thanks Lynn!

House was very clean, (gourmet) kitchen was exceptionally well set up and included an expresso maker and lots of condiments which is unusual and helpfull. Rooms were spacious and cozy. Neighborhood was very friendly - even with some of our rumbling bikes......

We loved the home and its location; furnishings were nice; kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed and was a joy to use. Supply of Movies was an added plus. Home's location was convenient to attractions, downtown Aville, and restaurants and coffee shops.

Lower level was damp smelling at first but a good supply of available candles freshened it up and all was fine.

Our only complaint was that there are no sidewalks in the area. Apparently that was not unique to the neighborhood, and once we got a couple blocks away, walking on the streets was not a problem.

We would definitely recommend the home as a rental for others!

WE LOVED IT HERE

My family-- husband, 2 teenagers and myself stayed here for a week and we absolutely loved the place. Make sure you go downtown for the drum circle on Friday night--what fun! We had a blast trying the local restaurants and shopping downtown. We spent a day in the charming little town of Weaverville, which is only 5 minutes north. The owner was very helpful and couldn't have been nicer when I called to ask a few questions. The house itself was extremely comfortable, and we really appreciated all the large TVs and the WiFi. We're already planning to come back next summer for 2 weeks.
