LUXURIOUS NEW HOME A FEW BLOCKS FROM CENTRAL PARK

Everything was accurate from the description for this lovely home! Wonderful location as it was a 10- 15 minute walk to Central Park and a 5 minute walk to Panza Verde or garden s at La Esconcia. If we got tired or had a lot to carry a tuk-tuk was easily had to take us home for 15Q.
Once at the house , our family of 4 was very comfortable! All had their own bedroom and bath and their is a 1/2 bath in front of house by living room. Kitchen is wonderful with dishwasher and new appliances. Several fireplaces are located in the home for those cool evenings and mornings with ample firewood. Pure water is conveniently supplied and we had a midweek delivery to replace our empty tanks. The design is very attractive with a domed ceiling in the dining room and a roof top terrace. A lovely garden and small lawn adjoin both living and tv rooms.
The manager on site is friendly and non -intrusive as is the adorable cleaning lady who comes 3x week ( perfect as we didn't want or need daily attention).

This house is comfortable and beautiful for many reasons. Antigua is a joyful town and consequently noisy, sometimes when you would like to sleep. This house is located near the Meson Panza Verde (a 5 star hotel) in the most desirable section of Antigua (South), close enough for us (a couple in our mid 70s) to walk to Parc Central but far enough away that you can sleep. The house came with a maid who worked six days a week. She is a tiny cheerful agreeable woman who works hard. The house faces a large cobblestone courtyard and is located in a larger double gated well kept coffee finca. You will feel free in these uncongested surroundings. The finca is maintained and guarded by a full time employee who lives right off the courtyard with his very friendly black dog, Neron, who helps with the guard duty and is almost always ready to play. Neron is tied up all of the time unless he is with his master. At first you will be comfortable with Neron and soon he will be your friend.
The house itself is new, neat, clean, lovely and everything works. On the ground level is a garage, separate laundry and maid’s facilities, gorgeous immaculate garden complete with bougainvillea
and hummingbirds, modern kitchen, dining room with brick vaulted cupola, slider windows to garden and corner no post picture window view of the garden, guest half bath, living room with working wood
burning fireplace (with wood) and a huge 7 foot by 10 foot picture window view of the garden, TV room (stairs to second level) with slider windows to garden and large picture window view of the garden, two almost identical bedrooms each with its own full bath (showers). The stairs from the first floor lead to the immense (14 ft by 20 ft) master bedroom with working wood burning fireplace (with more wood), master bath with deep soaker tub and shower, large walk-in closet and lovely terrace with views of the garden, surrounding coffee fincas and a spectacular unobstructed view of Volcan Agua.
The house is light and airy because every room, hall, bath or otherwise dark corner has a window, skylight, clerestory or combination of of the foregoing. You have excellent control of keeping the
outside outside while enjoying the greatly enhanced view of the beautiful garden.
If you want a beautiful, practical, no hassle visit to Antigua, this, in our estimation, should be your choice of a house.

We just returned from a month in residence at Finca La Bendicion, and our only regret is that it was not two, or even three. The house itself is both comfortable and fine, with several spaces for both communal and solitary pursuits. The setting, on a small coffee farm at the edge of town, is quiet and peaceful and secure. Yet in but a leisurely fifteen minute walk through an upscale neighborhood with some of the finest hotels, one is at Parque Central, the very heart of Antigua. This is a charming, inviting town, and Finca La Bendicion is the home there you’ll want to make your own.
