Casa Cascada is a 2100 square foot contemporary Mexican house located in the picturesque seaside town of Todos Santos a short a drive from Cabo San Lucas but a world apart. The architecturally designed home situated 15 minutes north of town in the Las Tunas area features an open floor plan complimented by wide doors and windows which frame uninterrupted views of the Sierra Laguna Mountains to the East and the Pacific to the West. The house is surrounded by abundant desert landscaping and quiet terraces for easy indoor/outdoor living. Each of the bedrooms look over the arroyo to the south with its abundant bird life as well as the desert and sea to the east and west.
Completed in early summer of 2010 Casa Cascada features two bedrooms/ two baths, living room/ dining room with fireplace and a well appointed kitchen with modern appliances. The large master bathroom has a separate tub and shower as well as a double sink. There is a private outdoor shower between the two bedrooms. A roof deck offers spectacular views of the surrounding desert and a good vantage point to observe sea life including migrating whales or to check surf conditions if you are so inclined. A world class surf break is 3 minutes by car and the beach, with it seasonal lagoon at the mouth of the arroyo, five to 10 minutes by foot.
Whether you want to explore the historic town of Todos Santos with its wonderful variety of restaurants, renowned art galleries and yoga/meditation classes, or venture further afield into the mountains or to the Sea of Cortez Casa Cascada is an ideal place to come home to each day after your Baja adventures.
If you're looking for something special this is it. The house is beautifully designed and tastefully furnished. I loved it even before we opened the door. The ocean view is spectacular and the house is very accommodating and comfortable. I was there for two weeks and would love to have stayed for a month. It's a place to really let go and relax. Although most of the Todos Santos beaches are not safe for swimming, they are magnificent. The town is charming and offers a wide variety of great places to eat from roadside taco stands to upscale and elegant restaurants and a great rooftop bar. It's a magical place - the weather, the food, the house, the town.
A stylish and well-appointed little house, located about half a mile (20 minutes walk) from a beautiful sandy beach, and about 3 miles (10 minutes drive) north of the picturesque town center of Todos Santos. The beach makes a perfect place for walking, relaxing, and watching the ocean and wildlife, but unfortunately not for swimming; the surf is just too powerful at this point. (Good surfing is possible a little further along the coast, swimming a short distance south of town.) The town center has a good variety of eateries, some of a very high standard, as well as numerous shops, including several that sell local art and craft works. The several small grocery stores and delicatessens provided everything we really needed for self-catering, so it was not essential to have stocked up at Cabo or La Paz. The description of the property was accurate, and the illustrations gave a very fair impression of it. In fact the house well exceeded our expectations. It was clean, and in general very well maintained. We look forward to a return visit one day, hopefully for rather longer than the 2 weeks we stayed this time.
