Orlando vacation

The condo is nice and worked well for the family vacation. Some things that need to be understood heading into the rental, this is not a hotel. There were minimal towels, maybe a total of 6 or 7, one mini bar of soap per bathroom, one roll of TP per bathroom and one box of tissue in the condo. So you will need to go to the store if you are staying for an extended time. Also it indicates that it sleeps up to 8, the couch in the living room does have a pullout mattress - however ther are no sheets, blankets or pillows available. We were going to have someone meet us and stay for one night, however had to send them to a motel because we could not accommodate them. We did check with the manager and he said they did not have any provisions available.
We did not use the pool, we spent all our time at the parks, however it looked nice and well maintained. There is security that walks the grounds, we did notice them one night when we were returning late. It is out of the way, but seemed like a decent area - not as though crime would be an issue.
Well worth the price paid for the accommodations. The owner was very responsive during the initial discussions and the rental process through the system was quite simple. We did purchase rental insurance through the system, $49 for $1,500 coverage - we did not need it, however it was very inexpensive for the peace of mind that it offered.
I gave four stars for multiple reasons, the condo was clean however the little things make a difference: streaky mirrors, mop bucket and mop sitting out ( the manager showed up shortly after arriving to put it away), towels in the dryer versus being folded and put away, short supply of necessities ( soap, tissue, etc.). I would have paid a slightly higher rate to have these items available rather than having to run to the store right away.
Overall a nice place and, again, well worth the price for the size of the accommodations. The owner is a very nice lady and Home Away/ VRBO is a great system that offers an easy process to meet all your needs.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I will try to address some of your observations and concerns. The condo is a self catering unit and toiletries are provided to "get you going". Most guests prefer to use their own brand. There should be two towels on each bed when the guest(s) arrives. Extra towels are kept in the closets. This has been addressed with the property manager to verify that our intent is met.The washer and dryer are there if you need clean towels on a daily basis. The condo legally sleeps eight adults. However, we do not normally rent to more than six as it gets too restrictive and would advise larger parties to seek larger accommodation. We would sometimes allow seven if there little children in the parties. The mop and bucket issue will be corrected. It was probably an oversight as a we had a tight turn around. This I assure you is not a regular occurrence. We have asked the property manager to change the glass cleaning product to address the streak on the windows. When we quote a price, it is for a set number of guests. Having additional guests spending the night is not appropriate. I don't think they allow that in hotels either. Once again thank you for your comments. We take them seriously as we want our guests to enjoy their stay.
