South of the highway and just a short walk to the shops and village of Bridgehampton, this historic home was completely renovated in 2010, with modern amenities throughout.
The view from the street captures the 1840’s façade, while the back of the house was extended and modernized to allow for ample living spaces and an open floor plan. Antique floors, glass-blown windows, and antique doors were all preserved, giving the house the feeling of a bygone era. A new kitchen features a Gaggenau oven and cooktop, stainless steel appliances, and a new white enamel two-bin sink. Counters are polished concrete, with wood cabinetry. There is a banquette and chairs for eating in the kitchen. A dining table for up to 10 people is also steps away.
Along with the kitchen on the first floor, there is living/dining room, screened-in porch, powder room, steam-washer/dryer, and a guest bedroom with queen bed and private bath. Upstairs, a new master suite has a bedroom with seating, two walk-in closets, an office, a private deck, and a master bath. The master bath has a shower, modern freestanding tub, two sinks, and a toilet. There are also two upstairs bedrooms for guests, one with a queen, and another a twin, which share a bath. Along with the plasma TVs in the living room and master, there is an 82” television in the Media Room in the basement.
A new solar-heated 28’x10’ saltwater pool has an elegant waterfall, which kids also love to play in, and the sound makes for a pleasant afternoon reading on the screened-in porch. There is also a private studio with full bath (5BR, 4.5 bath in all) for guests with small children, a nanny, or an independent teenager, who can have a separate building and entrance to the property but remain just 75 feet away from the main house.
For access to all Bridgehampton beaches requiring a permit, a 1977 Ford Bronco (fully automatic, a classic) can be rented by separate agreement.

Being close to the village allows our family and guests to grab coffee in the morning, browse shops or run short errands, and go to restaurants without having to drive there. Being South of the highway provides easy access to the best beaches, without having to get on Rte 27, which can be slowed by traffic.
