OUR CALENDAR WILL HELP YOU SCHEDULE AVAILABLE DATES. TROJAN'S TREASURE is a spacious, beautiful home at San Luis Pass(just across the San Luis Pass bridge from Galveston's West-End)and just walking distance to the beach, the neighborhood boat launch, neighborhood fishing pier, and the nearby store. This two bedroom, one bath accommodates 6-8 people with two queen beds, one set of bunk beds, and two twin convertible chair-beds.

THE STRESS STOPS HERE as you unwind and relax in this newly-remodeled custom home. The vaulted ceiling in the living area creates an open atmosphere. There are ceiling fans throughout, a big-screen TV with Dish Satellite, XBOX 360(with game discs) and DVD player in the living area, and small TVs in each bedroom. We provide several board games (chess, checkers, backgammon). Seating is abundant with the kitchen island barstools, the unique spring-loaded coffee table for casual dining, and a separate dining room that overlooks the canal. There are chairs for outdoors plus a table on the porch and a picnic table underneath the house. A settee on the front porch provides privacy for that early-morning coffee or a nightcap at sunset.

THE HUGE 19'x36' PARTY DECK has a charcoal BBQ grill, propane cooker for crab or shrimp boils, and lots of space to enjoy the magnificent sunsets. A small kiddie pool on the deck provides a place for the VERY young to play. A 12'x15' covered porch allows for gatherings even on a rainy day.

WE SUPPLY YOU WITH MANY AMENITIES including but not limited to linens, towels, cleaning supplies, paper goods, daily coffee with complements, spices, soap, shampoo, and even a hair dryer. We have dinner ware, cook ware, utensils, and even china for that special dinner in the dining room overlooking the water.

BRING YOUR BOAT! Take advantage of the two boat slips and one boat lift. Imagine being in Cold Pass within seconds or the Gulf of Mexico within two minutes. The double-wide driveway allows for lots of off-street parking. A stadium light is provided under the house for night fishing in the canal. We provide bait buckets, a fishing net, and a fish-cleaning table.

HISTORIC GALVESTON is just a short drive along the scenic coastal highway. You will be close to everything yet secluded away from the hectic beach crowds of Galveston Island. Judy, we could not have had a better time. Every day was "The Best Day Ever." Myrtle (our little dog) loved the beach. (Via phone, other comments were that they caught fish every day especially under the house, everyone they met in the neighborhood was friendly and helpful, and they intend to come back next fall.)

I am the sole owner of this property and take great pride in the renovations and upgrades that have been completed on this great home. The neighborhood is waterfront to both the bay and Gulf of Mexico and is secluded from the heavy beach traffic of Galveston. A five-minute car trip puts you on the public beaches of either Galveston or Surfside. Every amenity one could want on a vacation is just minutes away by car. This is a fisherman's paradise or a beach-goer's dream.

FAMILY GET AWAY

I had a great time staying this location from May 19-23, 2010. The living room is huge and there is a huge deck to grill or boil crabs. We had 6 adults and had plenty of room for sleeping accommodations. The Boat stalls and lift work great. Boat stayed in the water the whole time and as windy as it was while we there we had no issues. You are minutes from Cole Pass, West Galveston Bay or The Gulf. Great crabbing in Cole Pass along the shore for crab traps. Only 17 miles to Bucee’s in Clute or less than 20 miles into downtown in Galveston.

PERFECT!

This was our second stay at Trojans Treasure. We found this to be a very good value rental for us the first time around and decided for a second stay. The home is very clean, nice with most all needs. If you are looking for reasonably priced rental with water access you will probably not find any better valued options in the area. The home is well equipped with all needs within the kitchen including pots, pans, toaster oven, etc. There are tons of spices available as well. There are two outdoor grills available (bring charcoal). There is also a propane burner and large pot for shrimp/crab boils. There are few added amenities including a crab trap, large extra coolers for fish, landing net, minnow/shrimp buckets etc. downstairs. This is a good stay for one or two couples with room for children. Pets are allowed and the downstairs area is fenced with a small grassy area. This rental is excellent for fisherman (bring your boat!) The fishing can be good in the canal in the summer/fall, especially under the lights at night right off the dock! San Luis Pass is just a couple of minute boat ride from the house. Plenty of good bay fishing options in the area also. Getting offshore via the Pass on calm days is an option for midsized/smaller boats. It is just a short 2-3 minute drive to the pass by car as well as numerous beach front options nearby. We’ve heard complaints about the cleaning deposit. Judy offers this to those who want to get their $$ back for doing all their own cleaning. You can actually get your full deposit back by simply cleaning the rental prior to leaving. Makes for an even more reasonably priced rental. It can be a –big- job and must be 100% ready for the next arrivals! If you don’t want to do it simply forfeit the deposit (you are paying for the cleaning by doing so). Another option, bring your own towels and linens (or at least linens). This will cut a HUGE amount of time off of your cleanup and save a nice chunk of money on your deposit. Thanks Judy! NOT HAPPY!

This was a semi nice house, although the A/C did not work during our stay. Upon leaving we spent 3 hours going over the "cleaning check-list" and could not believe items that the manager Judy said we did not take care of. Please ask to see all the check-in and check-out lists before your stay so that you are aware of all the cleaning rules. In my opinion we left the house cleaner than when got there. As previous beach house owners we know what should and should not be done. I would never charge a guest $25.00 for a crumb left under an outside table. I would highly recommend doing a walk through with Judy before you stay to go over all items in and outside the house. I would also give yourself at least 4-6 hours to do everything on her check-out list.

Owner's Response: We pride ourselves in providing personalized attention to all of our renters. Due to the fact that we are not an on-sight management company and the house stays rented continuously, we depend on the renter to communicate any malfunctioning equipment(such as A/C unit) to us so that we can provide immediate remedy. We have contracts with service providers to respond asap to our repair needs. If we are not informed of equipment malfunctions, we can not assist with a speedy remedy. We also provide back-up window units as temporary relief should the central A/C unit fail. We are one of the very few rental properties that allow and encourage the renters to take advantage of a refundable cleaning fee. Of course, the requirements are stringent because every renter expects the property to be immaculate upon arrival . Hair in the shower drain, a dirty toilet or bathroom mirror, soiled linens or wet towels that have been hidden under clean, dry ones in the linen cabinet are not acceptable exceptions to receive a full refund of the cleaning fee. We overlook a lot of infractions with no penalty just to maintain good relations with our customers, but we can not and will not return the entire fee if we have to bring in a cleaning service to prepare the house for the next renters. We have made the concession to break the house into sections and only charge $25.00 for each designated area, so that most renters will get back a portion or all of their cleaning fee. 99% of our renters receive a full refund because they appreciate the option of being allowed to clean the house upon departure. It normally takes 1-2 hours because of the time needed to wash and dry linens.

GREAT PLACE FOR OUR FISHING TRIP

I am reviewing this place from a fishermans point of view. Families would also love this place, but we rented it mainly for fishing. So that will be the main topic of this review.

My buddy and I had 2 days of vacation to use up so we started looking and found this place. This house was perfect. It had plenty of room, very clean and very nice. The private neighborhood boat launch was a nice benefit (didn't have to wait to launch) and the dock with the boat lift was also pretty nice to have. They also have a cleaning table and fresh water hose to clean the table and boat at the end of the day. You can even take your fish scraps and put them in the provided crab trap.

Since it was a short trip, we brought sleeping bags and air mattress' to avoid the cleaning charges. If you have a longer stay and use the linens and the beds, don't worry, they give you a detailed cleaning list. If you do your due dilligence, you can follow the list to avoid the cleaning charges at the end of your stay.

We will probably come back with a few more guys on the next trip. The place was perfect and dealing with Judy was a pleasure. We highly recommend this place.

GREAT STAY

What a great place to stay, very clean, very affordable, losts of space. the fishing wasnt very good by the house but the pier is close by, some other folks were catching bull reds at the end of the canal. The bait shop is also just around the corner and they sell live bait. The house has a large weber grill that is in good shape. Cleaning the house is quite a job but with two people you can get it done in about and hr and a half. Judy is an absolute sweetheart just clean the house and dont break anything youll be fine. Definately would do this again.

VERY RELAXING

Our first visit and I am already planning for our next. It was very relaxing and I appreciate the fact it is pet friendly. My family and I had a great time, our only complaint is...it was'nt long enough. :-)
I arrived a little bit early so I could meet Ms. Judy in person and she is as sweet in person as she was over the phone.
To comment on the person complaining about the cleaning requirements, I will say I was a bit worried, however, you do have the choice to clean or not AND a detailed list is provided. I believe the fee is more than adequate. I will admit, I was worried about how long it would take to receive my deposit back...needless worry...we checked out Monday afternoon and my deposit was back in my account Thursday morning. We will be repeat customers for sure.
