Listen to the seals barking while soaking in the hot tub on the back deck, go for hikes on the 10 miles of private Sea Ranch trails, dive for abalone at Shell Beach, go kayaking or picnicking on the banks of the Gualala River, enjoy the beautiful golf course, tennis courts, sauna and pools that are part of The Sea Ranch. Or just do nothing, spending time playing family games, doing puzzles, whale watching, reading, and observing the deer and foxes in the adjacent meadows from this beautiful peaceful home.
This is a perfect place for dogs, with a large back yard, a fenced in deck and miles of hiking trails. We allow up to two well-behaved canines.
It is also a perfect place for kids of all ages, with the beach across the street, and a quiet street for bike riding and skateboarding. We are just a five minute walk from One Eyed Jacks, which is the only playground in all of The Sea Ranch.
The Sea Ranch is a unique community of people who value the beauty of the land and the wildlife on the California coast. The homes blend into the land with large lots and lots of space. The vegetation is natural, attracting deer who wander through the meadows.
The home has a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, coffeemaker, blender, and dishes of all kinds. You need to bring your own queen sized sheets, towels and beach towels. We also have a washer and dryer. We have a library with over 300 books, games, and jigsaw puzzles.
We also have two televisions, linked to Direct TV satellite, with over 200 stations, and a DVD, CD player, and free Internet access, as well as free usage of a telephone.
The lovely town of Gualala, just 4 miles to the North, has two excellent grocery stores, a pharmacy, the best video store we've ever seen (Gualala Video) as well as many art studios, a bookstore, a Saturday morning farmer's market, and many other amenities.
