BEAUTIFUL!!

We had a fantastic family vacation while we stayed at this log cabin. The home is beautiful. It is very clean and has an open floor plan which I love. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and even though the description of the house states they have kids toys, we ended up bringing some just incase. Well, next time I know that will not be necessary. There is plenty of toys and games. They even have stools in the bathroom for the kids. I think my favorite part of the house is the screened in porch. It was so nice to sit out there and watch the river. it was also a great spot to eat meals. Our main reason for picking this area was the distance it took to get StoryLand. It is only a 20 minutes drive. Other than that, there is not much else to do in the town. Every night was spent around the fire pit making smores. My only complaints about the house is that because it is a log cabin there is no privacy in the bedrooms meaning I could here everything that was going on in the other rooms. So when my sisters baby was crying I heard it from upstairs. When the alarm clock went off in another bedroom I heard it, etc......In the end, I was with family so it was OK for me to yell such things as, "Turn your alarm clock off for goodness sake." Also, as beautiful as the backyard was with the river, I would not recommend it for young children. It is quite steep in the back yard and I was a nervous wreck - it kept looking like my daughter was going to tumble down into the river. If she was a little bit older I would have been fine but at 2 the girl doesn't look where she is going. So needless to say I could never really relax when she was back there. However, I just made sure she spent most of her time at the front yard where there is a swing set, sandbox and zipline!! Overall, I highly recommend this place. It truly is a beautiful spot.
