Location! Location! Location! It’s all about the location when you are looking for a vacation condo rental. This Gulf Shores condo is perfectly located directly on the beach of historic Venice Island, Florida, just south of Sarasota. Walk out your condo door for a stroll on the beach to watch the boats at the south jetty, to participate in yoga, or to watch the Pelicans feeding. Or if unique shopping, enjoying a nice dinner, or lingering over a special coffee at the coffee house is on your agenda, you are only 3 blocks from charming downtown Venice. For those interested in some cultural activities, Venice has the largest community theater in the nation, its own symphony and an art museum.
When you enter your spacious 1300 sq. foot condo on the 7th floor, your first view is the Gulf of Mexico. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, dining room, den, and kitchen provide you with all the necessities to make your vacation stay comfortable. The kitchen and both bathrooms were completely gutted and remodeled in the summer of 2011. In addition, all the furnishings were replaced to help make this vacation spot a first class retreat. Don't miss waking up each morning to enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony while gazing at the gulf and the beach and listening to the sounds of the surf. It's a beach lover's paradise.
Steve and I have lived all our lives in the north but when we retired, we moved to sunny, warm Florida. We couldn't decide whether to live on a golf course or on the beach. We chose the golf course but soon decided we missed the beautiful beach. So we purchased a beach condo in Venice that has a short walk to beautiful downtown Venice. Venice offers so much and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Stephen L Eley purchased this condo in 2010
Our condo is located on Venice Island which offers you so many exciting opportunities to enjoy the wonderful Florida weather. It's a short 3 block walk to all the amenities in historical downtown Venice and you are living right on the Gulf of Mexico which allows you to enjoy all the amenities of the beach and water. It's the perfect location.
You walk out the door of the condo to the beach and take a short stroll to the south jetty which allows boats to access the inter-coastal waters. It's fun to sit there for a while and enjoy the boats and the pelicans diving for food and the playful dolphins that are out for a cruise. You can also see the young people surfing on the waves. There's shark tooth hunting in the area too so you see many people with their sand sifters trying to find that ancient shark tooth. This is all free.
Previous years we spent several winters in Naples and always enjoyed it but we fell in love with Venice Beach during our stay this winter. What's not to like. The condo is beautiful, each day we looked forward to the spectacular sunrise in the front and awesome sunsets over the water. Many mornings dolphins could be seen swimming past. The view from our window was ever changing...kite boarders, scuba divers, sail boats, fishermen, shell and shark tooth hunters were every day sites. The beaches, the pool, yoga on the beach, theatre, lectures and the golfing are all great. Venice is a hidden gem. From the condo you can take a leisurely stroll to the quaint downtown for shopping, restaurants, outdoor entertainment and did I mention gelato.
Steve and Karen couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating owners. Their condo is even better than the description. Everything you could possibly need or want is there. They even sent us extensive information on all the activities that would be available during our stay.
The other renters and owners in our building couldn't have been friendlier. They made us feel comfortable from our first day.
We would highly recommend Steve and Karen’s condo to anyone looking for a great time.
My wife and I have rented in Southern Florida for the last three years and have found a new home at the Esplanade, Venice. We need not look for another place to vacation. Everything in the condo is brand new and put there for style, comfort, and convenience. Our back view is of the heated pool and the Gulf of Mexico. The front view looks over the town of Venice, a very nice view with the evening lights. Informational binders have been left for our use explaining the area, what to do, what to see and even a selection of menus from the local restaurants. Another binder directs us to the use of every component in the condo including the flat screen TVs, the DVR, the convection oven, the microwave, the phone and intercom, WiFi settings, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils for one's cooking pleasure. There does not seem to be anything missing here.
We walk to the quaint downtown area for the shopping, the restaurants, the theater and tennis. We sometimes do take the car. There is always easy free parking for the whole area.
Definitely a five star rating for this vacation spot. And by the way, the owners are very helpful and pleasant to work with.
Our only problem of the day is the decision to sun and swim at the heated pool or take an additional 20 steps to the sandy beach and the clear waters of the Gulf.
