We fell in love with Leelanau Peninsula a few years ago so we finally purchased our cottage. We enjoy the many beaches that are nearby, walking the trails, enjoying the seasons and the wineries.
Northport is away from the more populated resort towns on the peninsula, yet nearby enough to enjoy everything Leelanau Peninsula has to offer.
I walked out onto the deck on Sunday morning, a deer stopped in the woods and looked my way then continued its walk. When it got to the road it looked both ways and trotted down the road. Beaches easy to walk to and access. Great hiking trail just a couple blocks away at the end of the road.
