Sit back, relax, and enjoy the view of Perch Pond from this well appointed 3,000 square foot home. You’re walking distance from downtown Chatham (3/4 mile), White pond (a swimming pond – ½ mile), and public basketball and tennis courts (1/4 mile).

The spacious master bedroom features a fireplace and a balcony overlooking the pond, a large walk-in closet, and master bathroom with separate shower stall and Jacuzzi tub. Full central air-conditioning keeps the home comfortable for you and your family at all hours of the day. Leave the towels and sheets at home because all the linens you will need are provided.

Enjoy your meals in the screened-in porch overlooking the pond or in the formal dinning room downstairs, where you will also find an office (wireless high speed cable Internet service), and a large kitchen and breakfast area, and a cozy family room with fireplace, HDTV, and stereo. You'll find complimentary bikes for the nearby bike trail in the shed, and down in the walk-out basement pool and ping-pong tables for your enjoyment. You’re within striking distance of everything you will want to do on your vacation from swimming to dining to boating to golfing to just enjoying family and friends in old Cape Cod.

About Sean

I am the Latin teacher at Nauset Regional High School. Originally from Washington, D.C., I moved to Cape Cod in 2000 with my wife Helen, an Atlanta native who works for Delta Airlines. Helen and I met while working for Chatham Bars Inn 20 years ago, and as we fell in love with one another we also fell in love with the natural beauty and charm of the Cape and of Chatham in particular. We enjoy life on the Cape with our three sons, John, Ben, Will, passionate about the game soccer and the theater (quite a combination!). Each summer we travel to near and far flung destinations thanks to Helen's travel benefits while we invite families who might also appreciate the quaint charm of Chatham to share our home.

Why Sean chose Chatham

When we first moved to Chatham, we lived in a classic Cape cottage that was located on the very property we own today. As our family grew, we made the decision to build our new house on the location we fell in love with, alongside Perch Pond. A day trip to Nantucket put a few design ideas in Helen head which I translated into some rough drawings for my friend, colleague, and local architect Greg Kelly. The old cottage was sold to a young history teacher from Harwich for $1, and he moved it to its present location in Brewster. By the time our youngest was born in 2003, our beautiful pond side colonial was ready for us to move in, and we've been enjoying every since.

What makes this house unique

There are many special places in our house that we love to be, but it has to be said that many of them have to do with our rear vistas of Perch Pond. Most of our warm weather evening meals are enjoyed on the screened porch overlooking the pond and wetland. Helen and I sometimes use our master bed room balcony as a place to sit and relax during morning coffee or evening cocktails. Our formal dining room is the scene of our annual Christmas dinner served on our best china, but eaten while still in our morning pajamas!
