I have lived in the Vail Valley since 1973. In the winter I enjoy downhill skiing and snowshoeing . In the summer I love to go hiking and mushroom picking.sping...I go to S/P/Island Tx.and Windsurf...Fall I,go Trekking in Nepal..next...Kilimanjaro is on my List..and Safari....on Sept.7th..2010..on my Birthday,I,reached the Top of Kilimanjaro..amazing Views and very thin Air....19.340Ft...next..??? KalaPatar,Nepal..My new Hobby is a Prospector .I love to Hike 14ners,so on the way,look around Nature and you might become one too....This year I,Skied 81 Days...till my next Adventure....Gruss Elfi

So Cozy and An Amazing Value

In 30 years of annual ski vacations to Vail, this home offers the best combination of comfort, convenience and value in the Valley. The hosts, Elfi and John, had careers in the hospitality industry and it shows, as they think of everything, from a bottle of wine (an chocolate for the kids) on arrival, to clearing your car off after a snow, to fresh linens and towels. There was plenty of room for our family of six, the kitchen is well stocked, the living room very comfortable, and the Jacuzzi offers privacy and a great view of the mountains. We made reservations for next year before leaving! Thanks for a great stay!

Jon and Elfi are the best. I mean, who else brings the newspaper in the morning, prepare a fire for your arrival and offers bubles to your toddler?

I stayed here with 3 friends for a long snowboarding weekend and absolutely loved it. Could have comfortably fit a few more people. The pictures are fine, but do not do the place justice - it is far more sparkling-clean, well-appointed, and comfortable than you can tell from the photos. Elfi and John are very easygoing and think of all the details a guest could want - from extra towels and blankets to kitchen supplies to a blowdryer to a bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for us. They even loaned us a cooking supply we'd forgotten! I have stayed in many, many ski condos, and this is one of the best !!
