Great Stay in Historic District

  • 5 of 5
Well, we will be sad as we are going home tomorrow after a two month stay at the Annabelle. Wanted to thank Chuck and Deb for their hospitality and for the little things e.g. the house was warm when we arrived and lights were on to make it feel like a home instead of just a place to stay. We felt like we were in our own home as there were supplies including kitchen pots and pans, utensils, spices, paper towels, and toiletry items already there. We appreciate your warm hospitality as we felt like we got a big southern welcome when we arrived. We were pleased to meet both of you the next day even if the weather situation was a little untimely. But everything worked out in the end. We followed a lot of your suggestions on things to do in the area as they were great, and we pretty much did most if not all of them. We would enjoy coming back to the Savannah area in the future. The Annabelle was a great house for us and was centrally located in the historic district. Thanks so much. Mike, Larry, and Ann from KY and IN.

Beautiful home in Savannah!

  • 5 of 5
My aunt and I came to Savannah on vacation and chose to stay at the beautiful Annabelle. We loved the location near the historic district and within walking distance of a trolley or bus stop for sightseeing trips. Our rental car was parked during our five day stay. We even walked to church on Sunday morning! The house has been beautifully restored but has doorknobs, floors and light switches reminiscent of my grandmother's days. The Annabelle provided a glimpse into life in the late 1800's with the conveniences of the 21st century. We enjoyed watching the owners' DVDs of movies made in Savannah. The owners were great to work with and very accommodating. If we return to Savannah, the Annabelle will be at the top of our list!

Wonderful retreat!

  • 5 of 5
The Annabelle was the perfect home base for our mid-week vacation. Close to everything and yet nice and quiet at the end of busy days. We loved walking everywhere, including the close proximity to the Kroger grocery. The courtyard was lovely and we really enjoyed watching the DVDs that featured Savannah, especially after touring the historic district. Chuck's paintings are beautiful through out the house, too! We hope to be back next time we visit.

Perfect Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5
My sister in law and I were at home at the Annabelle during our initial visit to lovely and historic Savannah. We fell in love with the city and the Annabelle. By staying at the Annabelle in a convenient and gorgeous Jones Street neighborhood within walking distance from the historic district, we had a perspective like we were locals. The Annabelle was comfortable, clean, well maintained and equipped with any and everything you'd ever want or need, including a private driveway for off street parking. Ever into healthful pursuits, we walked everywhere, cooked delicious meals with fresh produce from the farmer's market, and jogged in early morn. We participated in historical tours of the city and homes, slowed our pace to take in natural beauty, shopped 'til we dropped, listened to live jazz, and ate delicious southern cuisine. When we visit again, we will definitely stay at the Annabelle.

Our stay at The Annabelle

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I took our first trip to Savannah for my sister's wedding and decided that Annabelle was the perfect location. We immediately loved it the moment we walked in. It was warm and inviting and had everything you would need for a short or long term stay. Everything was easily found and we LOVED the backyard. It was so nice to unwind from all of the daily and late night activities on the patio. The weather was gorgeous and very warm (upper 80's) during our 5 day stay.
You will not find a better street than Jones Street. You can walk to almost everywhere and we did just that each day. Also Clarie's restaurant right up the street will not dissapoint! We enjoyed everything we ordered there and it is very reasonably priced. Also be sure to check out the River front with great bars and a fun walk. We can't wait to return!
