Spectacular garden with pond a la Midnight in the Garden. Oversized King bedded Master with sitting area overlooks back garden, TV, large walk-in closet, double vanity bath, bathtub and shower stall. Twin bedded Guest room has extra long twin beds, closet, TV, full bath. All white fine linens and towels. Fully stocked kitchen with pantry, wine cooler, coffeemaker, waffle iron, outside grill, double sink, black Granite counters and copper plumbing fixtures. Beautiful Home, Great Location

As I was reviewing this site again, I could not believe I did not write a review when we returned from our NOLA vacation. This home is lovely and CLEAN. It slept 4 adults perfectly. The home is renovated and the workmanship is excellent. The neighborhood is in a great location with a Whole Foods Market a block away, and walking distance to Community Coffee. I hope to return to NOLA and will always check to see if this home is available when looking for a place to stay. The owners are accomodating and answer all questions promptly. I loved it because I felt like I was at home the entire week. Although in a vacation destination, the neighborhood was truly a neighborhood and not filled with the hustle and bustle associated with a large city.

Lovely home away from French Quarter madness.

This a beautiful and well maintained property. The home is close to Audubon Park and upper Magazine Street in a quiet residential neighborhood. There is a peaceful, nicely landscaped back yard with a soothing pond and small waterfall which is a wonderful place to relax. A good bakery and great bookstore are located just a block away. Whole Foods is a little further but still an easy walk. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area. The kitchem is well equiped and would be a pleasure to use although I cannot imagine eating in while visiting New Orleans. The master bedroom is magnificent, large and flooded with natural light. We felt the home would be best suited to one couple or a couple and one or two children because the second bedroom is small and has two single beds. As frequent visitors to NOLA we do not spend much time in the quarter. To get to the quarter you must drive and deal parking or take a cab. The St Charles streetcar is an option but few people would want to walk to St Charles form here.

I highly recommend this home and would definately stay here again.

The place is in excellent shape and a great lay out. It is in a safe part of town with tons of resturants and shops all within walking distance- Whole Foods, CC's coffe house, Bistro Daisy, Petoit, Clancy's, St. Joe's Bar, Pink Berry,Taqueria Corona, Martinique, The Flaming Torch, Audobon Park, The Greater New Orleans Zoo,lots of shops on magazine, and the most dearest to our hearts.....Children's Hospital!

A serene and relaxing Uptown home

We had a lovely stay in this beautifully decorated and comfortable home in August 2010. Having stayed many times in the French Quarter and Marigny, we wanted to experience life uptown. We loved the location within easy walking distance of Whole Foods, Audubon Park, and the shops and restaurants of Magazine St. Morning coffee on the back patio overlooking the fish pond and lush garden was a daily treat, as was cooking in the nicely appointed kitchen. The master suite is wonderful with an extremely comfy king bed and a large, modern bathroom. The home maintains old fashioned charm while still being spotless, modern in its amenities, and in great working order. The owners were nice to work with and accommodating. We had a great stay and would go back!

Wonderful home in great uptown location

Our family of 3 stayed here for approx. 5 weeks in Jan & Feb 2010. The house was comfortable, clean, well-maintained, and very nicely furnished. From this location, you can walk to Audubon Park and Zoo, Magazine St. shops, groceries, restaurants and cafes, and St. Charles streetcar route. Any inquiries we had during our stay were responded to promptly and professionally by the property owners. We can recommend this property wholeheartedly and would definitely stay there again.
