Chateau / Country House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 6-12)

Custom 4 bedroom 3 bathroom hilltop home on 7 park like acres. Each bedroom has a queen bed and deck access. Private setting yet only 10 minutes to the town of Mariposa and 45 minutes to Yosemite National Park. Incredible 360 degree views into the High Sierras and Yosemite. A large slate courtyard separates the free form pebble tech pool from the luxurious hot tub and barbecue area. A huge wraparound deck, perfect for amazing stargazing, located on the second level accessible from all the bedrooms.

Inside you'll find tile and hardwood floors throughout. The guest bath includes a large jetted bathtub, while the master bath has double shower heads and a sitting area. A 50 inch flat screen TV is located in a common area with a wood stove.The living room/library offers a peaceful place to read or relax on the soft couches. We offer wireless internet and Wii with Netflix movies for entertainment. For the more active homebodies, we have a pool, jacuzzi, basketball net and pool table. The perfect place to gather with family and friends!

About Lisa Guardino

My husband and I grew up in Merced, California but always enjoyed traveling and trips to Yosemite and the surrounding foothills. The beauty of the area, the friendliness of the people, the relaxed lifestyle and the endless possibilities for outside entertainment (hiking, fishing, birding etc.) had us making the journey more and more frequently until we decided to move up here. We love dining and shopping the quaint downtown area of Mariposa. We have enjoyed sharing our home with our friends and family by hosting BBQ's, holiday's, pool parties. There is something for everyone to enjoy and plenty of room for visitors.

We decided to turn our home into a vacation rental because our children have grown and moved on and we would like to visit them more and enjoy other great travel spots, as well. We've had so many great times here, this gives us another way to host others and share what we love!

Yosemite is a world class vacation destination. Truly a 4 season resort area with ice skating, cross country and downhill skiing in the winter, springtime the waterfalls and wildflowers put on an incredible show, summer is great for swimming in the rivers and lakes, bass and trout fishing while the fall foliage is a treat for hikers.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

This property is great for larger groups and perfect for families and entertaining. We love to wander about moving from pool to jacuzzi to pool table and hanging out on the deck (day for awesome views and night for watching the moon rise. We really feel like we're on a holiday in our own home.

This place is THE BEST ! Such a perfect place!

My Aunt, Uncle & cousin stayed over Thanksgiving. The place was amazing. They were totally happy. They are planning a trip back in the spring and plan on staying here again! The Family came over to play games one evening and everyone loved the place. Perfect for family gatherings! Wonderful place! You guys provide everything needed to have a great vacation!

Lovely, relaxing getaway spot!

Yosemite Oaks is a lovely, relaxing vacation home. The pool, man cave, and main house are all wonderful places to hang out. The house has everything you need to enjoy a few days away from it all. I will definitely be back next year.

Family-friendly and pure fun!

This property took the concept of a "staycation" to a new level! I am sooo glad we decided to stay in Mariposa county for our family getaway. The house is beautiful, accessible, and was fully equipped to anticipate our needs. The pool was a huge treat that our grandchildren loved and the adults enjoyed shooting pool in the Man Cave. This house has something for everyone--and lots of space when you need a quiet moment away from family! The setting is gorgeous. Our hosts were generous to a fault. I would absolutely stay here again!!!

Owner's Response: I often like to staycation in my own home because the view, pool and hot tub make it feel like I am far away from all my worries. It is a very relaxing space.
When the kids come home we utilize all the games, Netflix and Weii and pool table also.
